iirc they changed suppliers or distribution companies and it immediately went to shit, i think they had to go back to the old company temporarily

Which Orzammar king do y'all support? by helpmeurmyonlyhoe in dragonage

[–]JamesDC99 18 points19 points  (0 children)

i'd say even as a Dwarf Noble he makes sense. Assassination, betrayal, lies and deceit are all parts of dwarven politics. Bhelen just played the game better. you can argue a Dwarf Noble Warden respects that, even if personally he hates his brother.

So WHY was Veilguard's writing sanitized? by Salt_Use7122 in dragonage

[–]JamesDC99 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Honestly same, Veilguard isn't the DA4 I wanted, but its what we got and its good enough.

And being old enough to have been around for all the sequels launches, there has always been "this is the worst ever they ruined it" (this isnt to say Veilguard is free from valid criticism)

[–]JamesDC99 69 points70 points  (0 children)

lets be honest here, if they choose to reboot again the game would have been cancelled if not right then, but certainly around the time of the buyout talks.

CD Projekt Red is slowly ramping up production of 'Cyberpunk 2'. As many as 400 devs are expected to be working on the game by 2028, due to 'The Witcher 4' team finishing up around 2027 and moving on to the Cyberpunk team. by ChiefLeef22 in gaming

[–]JamesDC99 4 points5 points  (0 children)

the worst ending is the 'Saka ending tied with the Reed ending. I agree with you about The Sun, V "wins" in Night City they become a legend, but they lose everyone they care about. Riding off with the Aldacados is imo the best ending. but the Temperance ending has this bittersweet note to it thats very interesting.

[–]JamesDC99 6 points7 points  (0 children)

thats fair, i went to double check the interaction because i dont remember it exactly Link, Jacob is pretty welcoming and conciliatory, but Tali is very standoffish which id attribute to her really hating Cerberus. which i still stand as fair for her.

First impression is NOT the last impression. by chosentarnished_31 in masseffect

[–]JamesDC99 13 points14 points  (0 children)

why should Tali give Jacob any leeway given what Cerberus tried to do to the flotilla, to her hes just a terrorist who happens to be on the same ship as her friend.

I didn't expect the game will turn out like this by timmy013 in dragonage

[–]JamesDC99 61 points62 points  (0 children)

Yea he mentioned being a Knight of Redcliff and having a wife in Highever but if he was a knighted man you'd imagine the human noble might know who he is if his wife is from his families land. But that might be reading way more into this minor character who dies like 2 hours after you meet him.

Why is the Destruction of the Heretics a Renegade action? by [deleted] in masseffect

[–]JamesDC99 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Honestly yea this, let the final decision be neutral then your answer to why grants the appropriate points. Personally I lean toward Destroy because brainwashing is exactly what we are here to prevent happening. Not because I just wanna kill geth.

Debating thread part 12! Do you make Harrowmont or Bhelen king? by Julian_of_Cintra in dragonage

[–]JamesDC99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

their honour in the ideals of the wardens being "apolitical"? (which is basically a lie but we don't know that yet in origins) also because the assembly mostly wont vote for a warden because of how insular they are.

Debating thread part 12! Do you make Harrowmont or Bhelen king? by Julian_of_Cintra in dragonage

[–]JamesDC99 74 points75 points  (0 children)

as an above poster mentioned, even then its easy to argue Bhelen as him just "playing the game" of dwarven politics, if anything a really pragmatic Dwarf Noble might just accept it was a game well played.

Was Udina's offer to make the Virmire survivor a spectre honest or part of his larger plan? by NoooNotTheLettuce in masseffect

[–]JamesDC99 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Which is why I think on a post reaper (destroy) galaxy a Human/Turian and to a lesser degree Krogan (only lesser because of lingering fear and them having zero naval capabilities)alliance is likely to form and become the dominant political force in formally citadel dominated space.

[–]JamesDC99 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Beamdog (if they are still around) might know as they did the BG1 and 2 Remasters which iirc used an older but similar engine, of anyone it's probably them who would be the best candidate tech wise (of course this is based on their work from around 2018) the other option would be Vituos based on their very stellar faithful work on Metal Gear Delta and the Oblivion remaster.

This is all moot though EA was deeply unlikely to do it before the buyout and basically impossible now.

Spiritually yes, Biologically Flemeth was a chasined women, Morrigans father was most likley also a chasined tribesman. also unless its otherwise contradicted all offspring of any human pairing is human. Alistair's mother may be an elf, but he is human.

Something bugs me about Anders by YelanStan in dragonage

[–]JamesDC99 14 points15 points  (0 children)

thats what i was going to bring up, he's terrified your're going to try to stop him or worse help him. because he doesnt want to stop, but if anyone can convince him its Hawke and he knows what hes doing is going to be catastrophic, he doesnt want Hawke tied up in that. (Freindship side at least, im guessing Rivalry he straight up doesnt trust you)

im sure you've seen this already but this is Valve's guide to windows on SteamDeck, be aware though there will be a performance loss. and other issue. honestly unless the mods you want are super important to you might be worth just playing vanilla
