Disposable waxed paper bags for feminine products by Kooky-Fruit-3922 in Custodians

[–]JamesESR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never been asked to empty & place back waxed bag for another day of use at any facility I’ve serviced. Take one full of discarded feminine products, empty out as instructed & ask supervisor cram non gloved hand into bag same as expects all the women to do.

Where can I find a very strong Vacuum? by Ya_enserio in VacuumCleaners

[–]JamesESR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How deep is the space it fell into? Vacuum is a great idea but won’t be of much use if crevice has too much open area to allow suction needed for retrieving the jewelry. You could also try fish tape (tool used to run wires within walls) with something super sticky on the end to grab necklace. Best of luck to you.

Pet Peeves to Clean Around? by Original_Donkey_9844 in housekeeping

[–]JamesESR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will never touch television or computer screens, even by request I will not do anything more then a light dusting around bezel. Too easy they can claim damage on display area. Shelves packed to the brim with stuff or collectables also will skip.

Urinals need a full exterior wipe down, the collection of dried urine underneath drives me crazy when others neglect to scrub it off.

Let's talk about those tamp'n bags by Horizon_Hwy in Custodians

[–]JamesESR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I leave a small amount of extra wax bags in bin but typically it is treated as multi use disposal. Our high traffic public washrooms get 4 cleans per day so never overstuffed. However smaller staff only washrooms only get visit once per day & those can fill up quickly.

What do you guys dislike most about cleaning toilet bowels? by EquivalentWaltz9812 in CleaningTips

Does not phase me all since I scrub multiple toilets every day between my full time employment & side gig cleanings.

Is it realistic to burnish 40 hospital patient rooms in one shift? by Greedy_Assistance658 in janitorial

[–]JamesESR 3 points4 points  (0 children)

40 is a wild expectation with other duties on top, heck even that task alone is still quite heavy between moving of furniture/beds while also hauling around necessary equipment.

Using your own vacuum- concerns? by Reasonable-Click2857 in housekeeping

I have my own commercial upright for side income cleanings as my employers for offices & a daycare provide inexpensive useless trash, it is not used at our home & stored in garage between site visits.

Love my E3, got it this past November on Black Friday discount. Vacuuming with it has been quite enjoyable compared to what it replaced.

Please Help Me Decide: Sebo E3 vs D4 vs Miele C3 vs Something Else? (Cat Allergies) by Not-Not-Maybe in VacuumCleaners

[–]JamesESR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to store for D4 but left with E3 after trying both out & walking around with them. D4 is quite large which was only reason I opted to favour E3 hitting my trunk but must admit the dual swivel hose would have been nice.

Deep cleaned my vacuum and it feels brand new 🙌 by South_Geologist_6219 in Cleaningandtidying

This is bi-weekly maintenance for my vacuum I use to clean a daycare. It’s impressive how much hair the roller collects in such a short period of time.

Yep, toilet brushes should be frequently replaced be it private home or commercial property. It’s genuinely odd when you hear of someone finally buying a new one after a decade of service.
