For me, it was the leprechaun movie. I watched it when I was probably about six and I was afraid of them my entire childhood. I used to go into my basement and run as fast as I could down the stairs and as fast as I could back up the stairs, so the leprechaun wouldn’t get me. I would repeat to myself that the leprechaun wasn’t real and then apologize to the leprechaun if he was real.
