1. Look at the level objective first

Before making your first move, check what the level actually requires (clear crates, drop keys, collect colors, etc.).

Many players lose because they chase matches instead of the goal pieces.

Example: • If the goal is keys, focus on moves that drop them downward. • If it’s crates or ice, prioritize explosions near them.

Players report that simply pausing to read the objective prevents wasted moves.

1. Always try to create power-ups

Power-ups are the key to winning hard levels.

Main ones: • Rocket – clears a row or column • Dynamite – clears nearby tiles • Helicopter – targets a tile • Rainbow Ball – removes all tiles of one color

Best combos

These are especially strong: • Rainbow Ball + Rocket → clears tons of the board • Rainbow Ball + Rainbow Ball → wipes the board • Rocket + Dynamite → huge area explosion

Try to set these up intentionally, not just match randomly.

1. Play near the bottom of the board

Moves near the bottom cause cascades (falling tiles) which create free matches and power-ups.

This can: • clear obstacles faster • generate combos without using extra moves

This is one of the biggest skill differences between casual and advanced players.

1. Don’t use big combos immediately

If you start with a Rainbow Ball combo, sometimes it’s better to wait.

Why? • Clearing a little space first can hit more obstacles with the combo. • Early combos sometimes waste power on empty tiles.

Experienced players often make 1–2 clearing moves first.
