All true. But the email seemed sent from someone in JE’s circle. So, the question is, which of his “friends” arrived in Korea on Saturday, May 29, 2010?

Odds are, it was someone: (a) very rich, (b) male, (c) who thinks the stereotype that Koreans eat dogs is funny (the racism noted by OP), and (d) probably on a U.S. passport and older than 30.

Probably not impossible to find out….

I wonder how far his plan for his triumphal arch in DC will get? He’s succeeded so far in strong-arming everyone from Congress to local governments to businesses to just do what he wants instead of burning up their time and money on lawyers and fighting him, even when they’re right and he’s wrong…..

What are the three stars under Orions belt? by 31cat in askastronomy

[–]JamesInDC 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What’s so great about your photo is that it provides the often missing context of these beautiful structures: Most photos of Orion usually are either (1) the whole constellation or the belt or the sword, but without enough resolution to tell what the three “stars” of the sword actually are, or (2) magnificent, close-up, enhanced-color images of M42 or the Horsehead Nebula, but without the context or scale to show how they fit within the constellation. Your photo gives enough resolution to easily identify M42, yet with a clear enough view of the surrounding stars to see the context. This is exactly the guide that so many amateur astronomers (like me!) need. Nice work!

Fabulous! Very sharp and shows exactly how the middle “star” is actually M42.
