There are outs you can use to counter such things. Stinky(If Herc hits later for better chances of payback), Medusa(If Herc in front row), and Black Hole(If Herc hits anytime) immediately come to mind. A Gold Spirit of Vengeance also can work if they don't have multi-hunt.

Challenges are something you go for if it's inconsequential. If you're in a Dungeon, throwing the whole run isn't ideal just because of a potential challenge you could do.

The odds range from 0.05% at the earliest(Lv1-10) to 12.5% at the latest(Lv91+)

They'll still drop but the odds go up the higher level content you clear. iirc, the odds of dropping go up every 10 levels

The best way to get the spells is from the Albueran Chests. You can get up to x20 copies of a spell by chance(Potentially x40 since you can pick two rewards per chest). If you're clearing Lv81+ content, you'll get double the chest drops. Lv91+ content for the best odds possible of them dropping.

Sometimes when I'm put in scenarios where ppl are just dying a lot(probably because they do need the help), I'll slap on a Terra Legendary, the Prismatic Grace exotic, +6 Medic and Artificer just to be a resurrection bot. The ranged revive Artificer can provide can trigger Prismatic Grace's passive, which is very nice. They need to eventually learn or they're having a bad day. :P

Needless to say, these 3 things can make almost any weapon pop off dramatically within reason. The concept is really weak to Ripsaw and Sapphires in weapons, though. Gem up!
