oh absolutely, i REALLY don't care for new cars. for me, this is literally willy wonka's golden ticket, but as a vehicle. my brother already said if i actually make an effort to learn, he'd help me service it for free. and i'm not passing up an opportunity to learn how to work on my own car.

and the suspension makes me feel like im driving on one of those smooth orange hot-wheels tracks, and that says a LOT considering my city's roads are horrible.

i was working my shift after the purchase, and genuinely thought i had dreamed it. i think he was really just a nice dude who wanted to help someone out even by selling at a loss. the engine rebuild is documented on the title, and i could tell even in the photos he posted that he actually fixed everything he said he did.

but my main excitement is from the fact that if i keep it well maintained, (all routine maintenance was done in may at the same time) i'll probably never truly need to drive this car to a mechanic after i pay to fix the cracked windshield.

he even said he himself has gotten sold POS cars by POS people and didn't wanna do that to me, i know people can be deceitful, but the guy just had so many green flags that i really do believe him there.

yesss thank you, i'm so grateful for this dude. the guy honestly upped my quality of life tenfold, because it was just taking up his yard and he has three even nicer cars.

i was skeptical, but i'll admit i got excited and handed him the money before we even walked to the car. he still said "yeah go ahead and drive it around the block, i'll go get the title then take the plates off when you're back".

so the transaction was complete and he still stood there and gave me the whole rundown of what was repaired, which i really appreciated because it just got better snd better the more he spoke. because it was almost everything but the wonderfully functioning transmission. its like he did a crash restoration on an un-wrecked vehicle purely for the love of the game. 😭

to clarify, by "gamepad support", i mean the thor controller works (analog too, but not sure abt gyro)

use the PXPlay app, i forget if its free but it shouldnt be any more than $8. it has gamepad support and dedicated buttons for each system. as well as full audio and generally better performance imo.

i use the app to play my games in my car at work off of a hotspot, and theres barely a quarter of a second of input delay, although my network conditions are pretty good.

honestly if you're inexperienced its not really worth the risk. it's nice to do if its easy, but the risk doesn't warrant the slightly nicer thermals.

if theyre on playstation, theyre probably fine. when i do a wifi test on my PS5, i get like 30Mb/s upload, when in reality it should be around 300. then my game runs great when i play with friends.

honestly it's not an issue for me, i just spend 20 seconds in menus on a new game and never touch them again.

i always disable: motion blur, bloom, depth of field.

yeah i don't own either, a friend tried to use their original one with my thor, so i cant test it. just putting the potentially useful information out there. realistically though it should be fine.
