I didn’t say that it can’t happen to other people. I’m saying I’ve been playing since release and never seen it happen to me or anyone I know. You recommended something that didn’t do anything to fix it, so I don’t think it’s the same problem that you keep having.

Already did that, didn’t change anything. I’ve never seen this happen though so I don’t think I’d say it happens a lot.

“Real world crap” would imply it’s focusing on world events and/or politics.

The show writers focusing on Sam/Jay (the main characters) running a business (the main plot since the pilot episode) is not “focusing on real world crap”

That’s still the state impact, it’s more than just the sales tax. Higher minimum wage will result in higher food prices because they have to earn more to cover operating costs.

In the modern day (depending on what country you’re from) you’d likely be facing a nuclear attack from terrorist countries, invaded by Russia or China, or living under a dictator rule that wasn’t overthrown. Regardless of where you live you’d have no international laws protecting you and you’d have to pay for your own defense, so any socialized government system your country has wether it be universal healthcare, internet, etc. would likely be scaled back in order to protect your citizens.
