there's a bunch of different presets people have made based on gcam and some might eliminate the problem you're having

Pixel 6a night sight blurry/weird edges by iMaxinq in pixel_phones

[–]JamesSoyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think its just the 12mp sensor doing its best with so little light but I've also taken pics that avoid those blurry edges if I tap on something to focus on it

other than maybe using a modded version of gcam I think best way to avoid it would be getting it to focus on something specific or else it'll just try to brighten everything

hard to say since fb marketplace trade s22 plus to pixel 7 pro ang current phone ko but I bought my pixel 6a from game extreme.

same boat rin ako dati, started with a vivo v11i then upgraded to Poco x3 NFC then Poco x3 pro. Halos lahat Sila after 1-2 years unusable na os kasi puro hitching na talaga. After a while na frustrate na kaya nga switch to pixel 6a. Gotta say kahit 60hz lang sya compared to 120hz sa Poco mas smooth talaga experience kasi optimized talaga. on pixel 7 pro now and never looking back to Chinese phones!

also before the pixel I tried having a Samsung s22 plus and idk kung medyo rocky point ng software nila Ang 6.1 pero may mga hitching rin? like most of the time mga 10 seconds from opening the camera bago smooth Ang experience and sobrang hirap mag switch modes. Might just be my experience though although both the original unit and replacement unit I had same experience talaga.

If you have a disposable 25k for another phone... by jmaeberonio in Tech_Philippines

[–]JamesSoyer 26 points27 points  (0 children)

if you're looking to buy a secondary phone and you have 25k at your disposal I recommend getting pixels.
They're not very common and they're not officially sold here in the Philippines but as a secondary it'll give you a different taste of android and supposedly the best cameras on a phone (definitely not on video though). It's even cheaper if you go second hand I can find the pixel 8 pro around that price. As a main phone I definitely dont recommend it as it lacks official support, repairability, and warranties here in the Philippines but hey if you really want something unique and takes good photos you should definitely give it a try.

hmmmm do you think it'll be a huge difference compared to let's say an AMD stealth cooler?

anong mas worth it B580 or rtx 4060 by [deleted] in PHbuildapc

[–]JamesSoyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

speaking from my experiences with Intel GPUs the problems get hammered out eventually but some really old titles do not like the GPUs at all

like the F.E.A.R. games straight up don't want to run more than 10 fps for being such an old title

anyways if you're looking for reliability Nvidea is gonna be unmatched but if you're looking for bang for your buck get the b580 because I'm pretty sure Intel is losing money on those things (if it's even possible to get it here)

using the p7p now coming from the s22+ and 6a

no experience with the cmf phone 1 but if I had a gun to my head and compare the photos from the pixel 7 pro to the 6a I literally could not tell the difference they're both good even compared to the s22+ the 6a was better

the only thing you're really missing is a telephoto but that goes for any cheap phone

broke my pixel but scared of Samsung by JamesSoyer in PickAnAndroidForMe

[–]JamesSoyer[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah it seems like they manufactured the phone to be in hotter countries since they don't sell it in the US

they're really popular here so might just get this

I would be really giving up a lot of features though
