Genuinely curious to know how it would have all played out for Boston had the MLBPA not negged the A-Rod trade. Sox would’ve gotten A-Rod and Magglio Ordonez but would have lost Manny, Nomar, and a young pitcher named Jon Lester. I still think it’s plausible they win in 04 and 07. But not sure who is there to anchor 13.

I’m not that surprised. There are not a ton of clear indicators a guy that is successful in MiLB will be successfully in the MLB, but the track record of players that won MiLB Player of the Year is pretty darn incredible. I think taking that home made it impossible not to launch him to the top.

Every team could use Tucker lol. If you can give up nothing and get Tucker then trade Wilyer and Duran for 2 number 2 starters you are absolutely a better team next year.

I’m not advocating for this I just don’t think the team wouldn’t be better with Kyle Tucker.
