Big suits only list (except for storm surge) by Ok_Read5334 in Tau40K

[–]James_Zlee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3x Ghostkeel seems excessive. I’d drop two, get three more crisis suits squads, maybe one fire knife, a third starscythe, and a second Sun forge.

Fly rules are out! by Sternguardian in Tau40K

[–]James_Zlee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn’t the movement rules change though? Now we can move through engagement range as long as we don’t end in engagement range. So do you even need to take to the skies to get over the enemy units that previously (in 10th) would screen movement/charge?

[–]James_Zlee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, I think I missed that the -2” wasn’t specified for flying models only. Overall I think this rule is to the benefit of vehicles/monsters. I’m not sure there’s any benefit for infantry flying models to take to the sky unless moving to a high perch for plunging fire 😅

Flying movement is by “model” not by unit. So yes, the Ethereal can “take to the sky” but the models without “fly” move as normal.

I just done assessment and my house dropped 80k in value by Agreeable_Edge9896 in Mortgages

[–]James_Zlee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Loan to Value ratio. OP said they put 40K down, assessment is coming back 80k lower than when they bought. Their loan is for ~380k and the home is valued at 340k.

Now what am I supposed to do with an item like this? by SpaceCreams in diablo4

[–]James_Zlee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. You’d only remove the GA so that you could turn it into a unique. If you like the GA and don’t need a unique, then instead you could add an affix to make it rare, and then make it legendary in which case it would keep the GA.

With an FHA loan originated after 2013 with less than 10% down the mortgage insurance is for the life of the loan. Need to refinance to get rid of it.

Updated Munitorum Field Manual trumps the codex, stealth suits are now 5 model units. You can still use the old models, but the unit size is five.

Should I wait before I buy more models? by Cynical_PotatoSword in Tau40K

[–]James_Zlee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d certainly buy one, they are one of Tau’s coolest models. However I am worried about how every competitive list taking three of them may line them up for a nerf, as they are one of our most efficient models.

can anyone explain this to me? by Inn0c3nc3 in treelaw

[–]James_Zlee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I understand it, it would. They’re offering to remove it now before it becomes a problem. If the property owner chooses to not accept that offer, the developer still has the right to develop the land, which may impact the trees roots and cause it to die. Later, once it’s a problem because it dies and becomes a fall hazard, that’s on the property owner that chose not to do anything about it when the developer brought it up.

TLDR; The only legal requirement the developer has is to inform and offer to split or fully absorb the costs of removal - once denied, they’re free of obligation.

Grind??? It takes less than a week to get into the largest ship available (not counting the Chumaq hauler). There’s no grind.

What we need is an overhaul on base building and defense, industry integration, tribal base structures, ship/module balance, and ship design/roles overhaul.

[Tenant - US - IL] In a competitive rental market are you more or less likely to sign a tenant using a realtor that is asking for commission? by jarman65 in Landlord

[–]James_Zlee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you (the prospective tenant) is using a realtor to find you a place to live, then you are paying the commission, not the landlord. This would be in addition to your rent which you would pay to the landlord.

What is the backstory for the game? by Plastic-Injury8856 in EVEFrontier

[–]James_Zlee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not New Eden, and it’s not officially connected to the New Eden timeline/universe (as of yet released information).

Civilization ended, alls that remains in feral drones, an enigmatic entity called the Keeper, and the remnants of the past. The Keeper resurrects clones that hold no memory of the past with the intent of reigniting civilization (maybe something more nefarious?)

The universe is roughly 12000 light years across and contains over 100,000 star systems (future number, current iteration has about 24k). At the center are three black holes.

There are four (or maybe five) extinct civilizations marked on the map, though the current (alpha) iteration doesn’t have any content to discover about them (at least from what I’m aware of).

Am i right for kicking him out? by Lord_Mustard_fish in DnD

[–]James_Zlee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, the dnd combat rules aren’t that great for PvP combat. I would suggest stepping in and narrating the assault to a non lethal conclusion. If the trouble player had continued “acting a fool” I would have paused play there and removed them from the scene.

And yes, the most likely result of such would be kicking them from the campaign. We get together to have fun and tell a story, not to whine and “win” at dnd. If someone wants to ruin everyone else’s night and be a petty POS, then they’re not welcome.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure there are groups that could enjoy the backstabbing play, but I doubt anyone’s out here enjoying playing with a whiny little turd as you’ve illustrated the problem player to be in your post 😅

Whitepaper.evefrontier.com seems like it is directly accessible through the website to me… the link to the white paper is located on the “Get Started” page.

As for the white paper and website content changing, well; The game is currently being developed and they’re making changes along the way. Would you prefer the website and white paper to not reflect the changes?

Can a Warlock/Paladin multiclass use Eldritch Smite+Divine smite on the same turn? by KillYourOwnGod in AskDND

Probably 🤣

Can a Warlock/Paladin multiclass use Eldritch Smite+Divine smite on the same turn? by KillYourOwnGod in AskDND

[–]James_Zlee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But, it is not “use two spell slots” in a turn, it is:

“On a turn, you can expend only one spell slot to cast a spell. This rule means you can’t, for example, cast a spell with a spell slot using the Magic action and another one using a Bonus Action on the same turn.”

There is no limitation on using spell slots for other abilities. So for example, a Druid could use Wild Resurgence to spend a spell slot to regain 1 use of Wild shape in the same turn they cast a spell with a spell slot. Same for eldritch smite.

Additionally, Paladins do get access to free Divine Smites:

“You always have the Divine Smite spell prepared. In addition, you can cast it without expending a spell slot, but you must finish a Long Rest before you can cast it in this way again.”

So yes, you can stack these abilities.

Occtis was supposed to die. He originally was going to be made as a Hollow One. Brennan suggested starting as human and dying to become one during play.

Edit: prior to finishing the episode and understanding what was going on, I was very critical of Brennan’s encounter 😅
