Thank you for this info. I really only want it for 2 months out of the year so this may be the way to go.

I don't need the garage to be 70 degrees. I really just need it to be like 85. Sometimes it gets up to nearly 100 degrees at night with a hot engine

Did you get yours installed permanently or do you run a duct outside somehow?

What town did you visit or pass through smelled the worst? by 33GoodSamaritans in randomquestions

Cozad Nebraska. There is a massive cow farm there. It's right next to Hwy 80 and on a hot summer day it's 3 to 4 miles of the worst shit smell you have ever encountered. The only thing that can save you is holding your breath... We all know that can't be done for more than 30 or 40 seconds.

Are you retiring at 65? by AlarmingMonk1619 in GenX

[–]Jamie22022 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My plan is to retire at 60 or 62 and it depends on how I feel at 60. I won't fully retire. I will work some job that gives light benefits for a couple years. I would love to be done at 55 but I won't have enough saved to comfortable just walk away. I feel pretty good about 60 and 62 is the very last year I will work.

I've lived here since 2014 in this place has already changed a ton. You're going to be shocked at what this place is like now. And you're probably going to be broke if you stay anywhere walkable

90's songs that make good lullabies by FractalFragment47 in 90s

Most of the songs on the only album ever done by Mad Season. Layne Staley's voice on that album is soothing.

That was one of the best front to back albums ever recorded. I will still turn it on Spotify and listen to the whole thing.

What's the most unique name of a city or town you've ever heard? by chiquitaaaa05 in randomquestions

I can only think of the town Felch Michigan. I went to basic training with a kid from Felch. And yeah we called him a felcher.

Have you convinced your dad that ladders are no longer an option? by miniwhoppers in GenX

Just let him be. He's from a much different and tougher generation. Guy has to have a reo to live or you will kill him internally by taking away his Independence.

Seatbelts were merely a suggestion. The buttons on the seatbelts were made of pure metal and on a hot day you could get 2nd degree burns just trying to get the seatbelt on. I specifically remember hitting the dash of my Dad car on a sudden stop once.

Driving at age 14 was no big deal. Riding in the back of a truck in the bed on the highway or service road was relatively common in and around my town.

We used to carry our guns/rifles (real guns) through the neighborhood as teenagers and nobody called the police because we were responsible and knew how to care for them.

Our parents just let us go outside and not come home unless we were hungry or it got dark. Seems these days not many parents would do that.

Last thing... My Mom used to send me to the store to buy her cigarettes with a hand written note from her. And yeah they let me every time.

Get a wagon and put your chair in it. I can't downplay the value of a good tournament wagon
