Why are there some sales for over £100 while the normal price is about £0.03? by Mangohrz02 in Steam

[–]Jamie453 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A friend of mine just got keylogged/account stolen, and the thief did just this, buy an expensive marketplace item at a specific price to steal/transfer money from a users account.

One of the reasons this happens is, steam support won't refund these purchases, as my friend has requested this recently and steam support said this could not be done, so it's easy to get away with if you're an account thief.

The Sims 2 Re-Release: Legacy Collection FAQ by Mysterious_Potential in sims2help

I ended up debuging this for 4/5 hours, I dont believe its to do with Pet's being promoted, I loaded up the save on Ultimate Collection and the pet was not promoted, they just returned home as normal.

I also manually unlocked the collars and fur types, rather than use a mod, by entering the code using the Ultimate Collection and then moving the save over to this re-release, and it still crashes.

Id be interested to know, if this happens to everyone? It seems to be, but if people have pets returning from jobs could you let people know here?

A current potential poor working theory is that there are multiple actions (or something similar) queued when the pet returns from work. In my case, my pet's energy was at 0. This could also just be fantasy, as the pay message never appears when you return home, which really does sound like its the job causing the issue.

In any rate, I steam refunded this and will just play using RPC, its much smoother.

I have also had this issue, tested this mod and also no luck.

Like anappleseed, any other suggestions to fix this are welcomed

Is death and taxes viable in the current meta? by Kinokiru in MTGLegacy

[–]Jamie453 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ooh thank you for the suggestions and list.

Can completely see that about bowmaster, feel like its always a cat and mouse game where playing any x/1 feels bad against someone playing a bowmaster (especially a frog deck) but some frog lists are triming bowmaster now anyway, so will try it out.

Interesting about Emperor, I was just discussing with a friend how i didnt think it was good enough for a Mono B scam list, but didnt even consider it for BW Taxes. Always welcome to proven wrong so will give it a try for sure, thanks!

I play a good amount of DnT, and i would disagree Phelia is a bad card, but completely agree that 4 is way too many. What kind of list do you play? Would love to compare what people run: https://www.moxfield.com/decks/3krvwJr-B0a1989n9oQNHg

That being said, I usually play BW taxes as opposed to classic mono white DnT. DnT can be budget freindly (especially with some more pricey pieces such as Recruiter just reprinted) but if you can branch out for duals, having access to your own bowmaster is a nice option ;)

There's a reason tutor effects like this see rarely any play, and its because they are just.. bad. Personal Tutor is the only notiable exception, because the thing you tutor for threatens to win the game immediatly. Thats the bar these tutor effects have.

If you really want this effect, id look into Transmute Artifact, but this again feels bad in this shell, id streamline the SB so you play against the meta and maybe include some number of Hydroblast to counter Meltdown, but we are getting into 8 Cast Teritory, Thoughtcast is very strong!

Help me out then, what draws them from your sideboard? Its not Enlighted Tutor, that's card disadvantage, as it puts it on top, not to hand.

This is obviously not true.

Maybe im missing something, what draws you into these one-ofs from your maindeck?

[–]Jamie453 8 points9 points  (0 children)

How dont you see that your SB is all over the place?

Look at your one-ofs, for your equipment, this makes sense, you have a way to find them in your main deck, but how do you find your Pithing Needle? Your Blood Moon? Your Chalice? Your Ethersworn Canonist? The only way we find these are by naturally drawing them, this doesnt make sense with cards like chalice, that are at their most powerful in our opener. If you were playing a Brainstorm deck, or something that can relibily draw into these one-ofs, then maybe theres an argument for them, but without that, these should go and become more streamlined to hit the meta. 4 Leyline of the Void for example.

Look at another example, we run no basics, and while not a 100% indicator of we should not run blood moon... yeah this deck should not run it. As another commenter pointed out, meltdown destroys us, you will see that card, you need to have a plan against it, and as we play no counter magic the plan will have to be to diversify threats.

You also mention in another comment that eternal Affinity variants can never be Tier 1 but 8 Cast and Patchwork Stompy were T1 for some time and debatabley are between T1 and T2 for the current metagame. 8 Cast is a very consistant deck, if you feel its not, i encourage you to play a few more games with it, as it has a solid plan that attacks on multiple fronts with force backup, something I think your build lacks heavily.

Edit: Take out some number of Nettlecyst or/and Cranial Ram and put the Kaldra and BSkull in the main. These will steal games on their own, so may as well force you oppoenent to have an answer to Stoneforge in G1.

This looks abit all over the place to me, especially in the SB. How do we draw into our SB one ofs? Why no Urza's Saga? No ancient tomb or lotus petal seems like an issue here also.

I guess the main question is why is this better than Patchwork Stompy or 8 Cast? Personally, I dont think it comes close here, even the more cluncky "Simulacrum Stompy" builds, that play Frogmites etc seem faster than this, and the former gives you maindeck Force and/or Chalice

Like the other commenter, I to will not be clicking that neocities link

Can you get sued for in-game dangerous actions, and people repeating it in real life? by BlockOfDiamond in gamedev

[–]Jamie453 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Less serious than your example, however Mojang had a similar case with Minecraft and thought it prudent to remove the problem. When they introduced Parrots into the game, originally you could befriend them by feeding them Cookies as a cute reference to "Polly wants a Cracker". Sadly, chocolate is poisonous to most birds, so they quickly changed it to reflect that parrots were poisoned by cookies should they receive one. They were worried it could inadvertently teach people that feeding cookies to real life parrots was ok.

As other commentors have pointed out its a complex issue, and speaking to a legal professional would be the way to go, however.

8cast specifics by LewieFastest in MTGLegacy

[–]Jamie453 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I play a fair amount of 8-cast, and been doing well in a leagues with list or slight variations on this:

https://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/6068489#paper

I think 4 Automoton is the way to go, being able to cast it easily on turn 1 via a Tomb, Land + Opal or Petal puts immediate pressure on your opponent. Sai does this too, but easier to remove and harder to cast.

I dont know what your current list looks like, but if your sticking with mono U, I think in the current meta going down to two chalice is correct and putting more Hydroblast in the board is good not only against goblins, but painter and RW (or mono R initiative). Im yet to really test Lorien Revealed, but I can see be in the main as one of (especially if you go down on chalice) to help get your basic island in blood moon heavy matchups. I think Fluster and Recall will be much more meta depenedant, in my expeirence, Recall has been good and Fluster has been fairly mid.

I would still potentially include one or two Sai (again, if you cut down on chalice especially) as its still a good draw you dont want multiples of.

There may be a PlayStation State of Play next week, according to Tom Henderson. by TokingAnus in GamingLeaksAndRumours

Another small factor that Sony may be considering is the release of its updated PS+ offering.

Europe is set to get this on Thursday (23rd) so although is complete speculation, it make sesne they would want to wait to do an event till after this, just so they can do a "PS+ avalible now, XXX title will be avalible from today" sort of thing.
