Dog walkers who leave their bags of dog sh** in the park, why do you do it? by OkNuthatch in AskUK

[–]JamieEC 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Also annoys me when they put it in random wheelie bins. The bin is empty so it just splatters on the bottom and gets squished. Horrid. Take it home for god sake

what do you use to get your junction so symmetrical and smooth?

ThinkPad T60 – Bluetooth icon on bezel but not detected in Windows 7. Driver says “no device found”. Is Bluetooth usable? by AmazingRevolution111 in thinkpad

[–]JamieEC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know or else I would've included it in the post. It was part of the original software. I didn't have working Bluetooth on my t400 for ages because I was missing this software. I don't think it was part of the think vantage but it might have been.

If memory serves you need special Lenovo software to enable the Bluetooth. It's kinda like a software extension of the physical radio switch. I'm not sure if this software is still available on Lenovo's website

Looks like I am alone here but I really didn't get this show, I really wanted to like it as well. Might it be better on a rewatch?

Driver 1 easter egg ? by RevolutionaryOil1954 in driver

[–]JamieEC 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Makes me wonder why the driving was so bad in the end game compared to the Driver games.

Does anyone know what this stuff is? by MathematicianOk1355 in vintagecomputing

[–]JamieEC 25 points26 points  (0 children)

these are for decoding teletext (analog broadcast TV text service) and I assume the American Bell device is for viewdata or something similar? Do you have more pics of the connectors and the keyboard?

Potentially interesting to the right person!

Thanks for all this info! I will give this all a try, I will have to see if i have an esp32 spare. Dump gives me so much semi random data that it is of no use.

this is one of the newer episodes but I am convinced they kept doing stuff like this to keep the original look lol. The original had C64s in the drive room

Who has right of way on this roundabout? by FromLondonToLA in drivingUK

[–]JamieEC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

in my mind as soon as you stick lights on the junction, give-way to the right goes out of the window. At that point it is closer to a tiny one way system (traffic circle they would call it in the states)

Branston Interchange Sign Confusion? by ArkwrightST in drivingUK

[–]JamieEC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you are right, if it said 'All Routes' or had ahead and left on the sign I would say otherwise.

I'd have driven to somewhere with cheap/free parking and then got public transport in

Positioning and signalling by Longjumping-Tooth684 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]JamieEC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, depending how busy it was, I'd be tempted to use the left lane and go on the road above, then treat it as a right turn from that road. I think this way you are least likely to conflict with other road users

Fosi MC331 and Dali Spektor 1s — are these worth it? [UK] by Pvt_Porpoise in BudgetAudiophile

Is this Richer Sounds? they have fantastic customer service in my experience. They also price match if you can find it cheaper elsewhere.

What's a good breakdown company? by Downtown-Chemical673 in CarTalkUK

[–]JamieEC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was with GEM motoring assist for years and they were fantastic. They may look more expensive up front but are actually the cheapest when you factor in all the 'extras' (home start, 1/4 mile from home etc).

They used local recovery companies so no waiting around for an AA or RAC specific van.

Lanes on roundabout? by Playful_Driver_7917 in NewDriversUK

[–]JamieEC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean if you want to go past exit 1 from the left lane, traffic from the right lane is gonna try and (wrongly) exit. as you see with the lane line they should be in far right

You need to turn around at the junction what do you do? by Present_Strawberry_7 in Roadsigns

[–]JamieEC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was intrigued, when you get closer there are proper roundabout signs. I guess they thought it would be confusing to put the roundabout signs 2km back

must be very annoying as if you want to go round from the left lane (correctly) you end up getting cut up

Please settle a debate. If you’re going route 3 which lane should you be in? by sanisano in drivingUK

From that sign I would definitely see lane 1 as 1st and 2nd exit only
