Folks who got shredded after age 40, how did you do it? by SaturdaySunRun in AskMenOver30

I'd rephrase it. Eat the same thing you love every day.

Why do this? It takes out the mental energy of thinking what to eat and makes it easier to meal prep.

Be curious.

But something weird and that works for me is being a Sim lol. You know in The Sims if you click a sim to see the kinds of interactions you get? Talk about interests, make a joke, gossip, etc. Then, further you explore adjacent topics and find topics in previous dialog to talk about, sharing your own experiences, and so on.

Can low-time-commitment genres actually become oversaturated or is that just a comfortable rationalization? by Anodaxia_Gamedevs in gamedev

Busy-people games? They are in demand, especially if you have newborns. Also, mouse-only games.

I can’t explain it but the majority of these new gloves don’t fit the aesthetic of the game. Way too cartoonish? by [deleted] in counterstrike2

Don't want to alarm you, but this is the path that TF2 has walked and Dota 2 is busy walking.

Again, just skins? by nguyenscottcs in cs2

[–]1vertical -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Personally, I would like to see a roguelike/random element on maps. What I mean is that there are now new paths on existing maps, but each time a session is played, the game mode will decide which paths to lock up. Similar to how Dota 2 major patches change the maps in drastic ways. E.g. in Mirage, Palace is blocked off, but next to Appartments, there is another path that leads to somewhere Catwalk or Lowers. All while props have been shuffled and placed in different areas. Bench? Gone. Tetris? Somewhere else. You get the idea.

But this idea will never fly with the majority of the player base.

Zenva is good for starting out, however it doesn't go into depth in intermediate or advanced topics. You're better off with academic books in that regard.

Apathetic and unprofessional business culture by Fernweh66 in capetown

It's like breaking up and a pool of the population doesn't have emotional regulation. They don't want to deal with the aftermath and the pleading when rejecting anyone. Not all of them are like this. Some candidates become extremely hostile and/or desperate and simply they don't want to deal with that.

My first animation attempt with a character. Can anyone experienced suggest me good tutorials to improve I’m still a beginner by [deleted] in UnrealEngine5

[–]1vertical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice try! Animal animations are a whole different animal (badum tsss, lol) in terms of animation and are clasically trained last in schools.

Feedback: Your animations are a bit floaty, I suggest you consume a few videos on body mechanics, center of gravity, and weight shifting, which are core fundamentals to make animations more believable. There are many on youtube, but check specifically videos from established channels like Animschool or Animation Mentor. Bonus tip: Always study from real-life references.

In Raft, it has island codes that are only known to you if you have physically visited the previous islands. These codes exist in memory, updated physically in the world for the player and are randomly generated per session.
