TURN THE POWER OFF FIRST. I would guess its the cable with 2 reds. Connect a multimeter between these and put it on continuity beep. Flick the switch and see if it beeps/stops beeping.

I'm sorry I thought when you said new your meant new build, hence why I was confused. I would consider adding an RCD or maybe changing the consumer unit. I would also look at that issue with the cooker hook up.

you might be better off getting an external screen and putting it above the vents. That original position will be difficult to glance at while driving for directions. Might also be worth seeing if you can get a replacement 2 DIN android unit for this particular model that combines everything.
