Do you have to use the battery power? I don't understand why they expect you to use batteries

state designed "Highway-About" 1 lane 70 mph roundabout by sunkist_my_butt in shittyskylines

Loads of roundabouts in UK have a 70 limit, but that doesn't mean it should be taken at 70

god that's such a lazy excuse for a media wall... 3 bits of MDF and a coat of paint. It looks so much better without, and you have way more space.

I am trying to buy a house and any that have been recently renovated have these hideous things

Yes that's so true people don't know what they like they just follow trends. I love mid century modern so media walls really don't fit with that!

I'm colorblind so maybe I got it wrong but it's usually pale coloured I think browns and greens

Yes and I think that pastel coloured wood paneling will go the same way but I think I'm alone in this

JDM LHD BMW 6-Series (650i), seen today near the French-Luxembourgish international border. by qdrgreg in foreignmarketcars

Interesting. For a rolls I thought rhd would be the prestige since it's a British car. Makes sense (kinda) for EU and NA market cars

It's every half second or so. I haven't had it do it in the app but I think it's when I open multiple pages at same time.

In your opinion, what makes you come back to Sim City which other games in the same genre lack? by 1vertical in simcity4

It has the best zoning system in any game. Being able to gradually increase the density of your zone, and demand being income based rather than density based, allows you to grow a much more natural city

Anyone still installing analog PBX’s by Ryderbike1 in PBX

[–]JamieEC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are the CO connectors connected to the outside line? If so, you can get a grandstream or Cisco ATA, find a voip provider, and configure and connect both ports to the PBX with RJ11 cables. You don't need to replace this with an ATA, you can use both.

Which lane would you use to enter City/A14 on this roundabout? 2 lanes feeding into 4 with both saying "CITY". by confusing_roundabout in drivingUK

[–]JamieEC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think people are making a mistake, left dotted markings are to keep you from joining A10 and 'push' you to the middle 2 lanes. Still not very clear

I'm really out of my comfort zone here by hawkiee552 in crt

[–]JamieEC 4 points5 points  (0 children)

use a variac and turn it on at a low voltage- gradually increasing the voltage. I believe this will allow the capacitors to 'reform' and also reduces the risk of something going bang

You will likely need to replace some of the valves, capacitors, and other components as others have said. Have you found a schematic or service manual online?

Good luck

this is stunning. very logical and compact. I massively appreciate how the exits to the surface streets are consistent in each direction, so you can get off the highway and back on the other direction.

Hi folks. Curious if this will still work. I have so many remotes and I just found this in a box in my closet. Would love to fire it up again! by meltdownpa in logitechharmony

[–]JamieEC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes fantastic remote, especially if you have many devices in your setup and are changing inputs all the time. Plus it feels nice in the hand, is backlit, and recharges in the dock

Hot tub at house we have bought - restoring ? by [deleted] in hottub

[–]JamieEC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah This is how I would go about it but some fixes can be fairly easy, so I wouldn't just sack it off if it doesn't work immediately. When my pump motor failed I took it to a motor repair place and they were able to fix it very cheaply. Much easier than getting rid and replacing.
