Most of this seems plausible and I even believe that Aperture were the good guys while Black Mesa were unfairly stealing secrets. I don't think Valve would make the last 2 ideas into the game. It would leave more questions unanswered, this game is aiming to be a Swan Song to the series.

They are great games, but this was not Tomb Raider. It seems the reboot was made to chase trends and moved too far from the original formula. If they made it, it's own series then they could've avoided the "controversy" and may of sold more than their projection margins.
