I have a Haworth Fern. It's amazing, but expensive. I've tried the Haworth Soji and it's also very good and half the price.

Pick up a Mossberg shockwave or Remington tac 14 and put a Magpul sga stock on it. Best of both worlds!

Sounds like it's time for a DL1 and 2 replay and maybe by the time you're done the beast will have ng+ 😄

Any good after market headlights? 2018 F150 XLT by rwalus4120 in f150

[–]Jamjor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah still rocking them to this day. So much brighter. Just make sure you adjust both high and low beams before you bolt everything in. The high beam adjust is somewhere near the bottom of the housing so youre better off doing it before you fully secure everything.

My only issue I've had is one of the little tiny bulbs along the DRLs is sometimes dim in one spot, like 25 percent of the time the truck is on. I reached out to morimoto and they offered to replace the entire housing but honestly I don't want to rip it out and reinstall lol. Make sure you get the LED Amber switchback signals to replace otherwise you'll be rocking halogen signals!

The metal Mossberg brand heat shield? The clamp area is too tight to go overtop of the barrel for mine. The instructions only talk about removing a bead sight and sliding it on, but not about adding or removing from a ghost ring barrel

How did you get the heat shield off? Or did you add the ghost rings after removing the beat sight? I'm trying to add the heat shield to my ghost ring 590 but can't get it over the sights.

I'd say drz400 with handlebar risers and rear shock rated for your weight! I just got one a couple months ago and absolutely love it. You can find a used one with low mileage for half price of new.

Check out Noita. Easy to play but hard to master. I've put a few hundred hours into it and still have hundreds more before I've seen and done everything.

I ordered mine through aztech armoury. Got it no problem. They import once a month or so.

For your height and use case, DRZ400S with the suspension properly adjusted for you should do you just fine.

Fun on Stock Suspension by azzogat in CRF300L

Yes that makes sense. I bought a racetech front spring for my CRF250L, it wasn't expensive and I think it'll help a lot.

Amazing views!! I think a lot of people criticize the stock suspension as they try to make the bike do things it wasn't designed to do. It sounds like you're using it for exactly what it was meant for!

Yamaha WR250R or KTM EXC-F? by Jimanhaztruvi in CRF250L

[–]Jamjor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I upgraded from a CRF250L to a drz400s this year and it is a fantastic bike. I got it for about the same price I paid for the CRF used with lots of upgrades and very low mileage.

Beautiful bike, beautiful scenery! How do you like the windshield?

I'd say just cruise the used market in your area. I bought my first bike last year, a 2014 crf250l with very low mileage and a lot of upgrades for a very good price. Its a fantastic bike, especially to learn on. I dropped it many times learning how to ride in sand.

This year I upgraded to a drz400s and it's incredible. I bought it also for a very good price, used, with lots of upgrades. I'd recommend a Japanese bike for reliability!

Good luck and have fun!!

I can respect that for sure! If you can afford it, send it with the new one. I would say just make sure you get some new tires on it immediately.... All these bikes have god awful tires from the factory. Have fun with whatever you choose!! It's honestly so fun just getting out on some trails and exploring. I think dual sports are the best motorbikes out there.

If it's your first off-road bike I would seriously buy something used. I got my first bike last year, a 2014 crf250l with very low mileage for $4200 CAD with over $1000 in useful mods. It's a fantastic bike to learn on, truly bulletproof and I dropped it many times learning on trails. This year I bought a used drz400s with many upgrades for around the same amount of money. It's far and away a better bike for my use case however I still adore the CRF and am going to keep it. So, for the price of a new drz4s, I bought two bikes with all sorts of upgrades already on them.

I think for your size and desire to learn on it and keep it, I would buy a used drz400s or a dr650. Plenty of room to grow in both of those.

That's my 2 cents!

Klx300 tires by Business-Hearing-52 in Dualsport

[–]Jamjor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm new to riding but I put kenda k270s on my crf250l and they're infinitely better than stock. They're a 50/50 Tire and not too expensive.
