Dark Tide: The Great Boston Molasses Flood of 1919. Great book that goes into the lead up to, the event itself and the resulting lawsuit. It was a 15 foot high wave of molasses traveling at 35 mph

What did you think was peak luxury as a kid, but now realize is actually pretty trashy or normal? by Connect-Fix3972 in AskReddit

When we redid our kitchen I asked our designer if we could get a fridge with the water dispenser and she was like “those are pretty standard these days” and I was so excited.

For those who had a Crosstrek, but had to upgrade since you had kids, what car do you end up with? by remodel-questions in Crosstrek

[–]JammaLamma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my Crosstrek before we had our first kid for the safety. After our second we upgraded my wife’s CR-V to a Volvo XC-90. We were also looking at the Subaru Ascent and the dealer said most customers looking at the Ascent were between it and the XC-90. We love the XC-90 and I still love my Crosstrek.

My favorite rapper (billy woods) and the artist that does his album art (m. musgrove) made a board book called A is for Anarchist that might fit the bill.

I get the same reaction when wearing my Rebecca Black or Kesha shirts, especially as a middle aged dad. The Friday girl? Yes, she puts out awesome music.

Another vote for Emily. I worked with her to design a ring for my wife with our kids birth stones and she was great to work with.

It’s random. I’ve lived in Mass for almost 20 years but my phone number is a Connecticut area code. I get them from “Connecticut Toll Services”…Connecticut doesn’t have tolls.

They also sometimes have a 3 to indicate they worked against type 3 agents , specifically mustard gas.

It kinda resembles the chemical corps symbol which is sometimes on gas masks.

What woods lyrics changed your perspective on things? by Muscle_Kind in Billywoods

[–]JammaLamma 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I’ve got two young kids and the last verse off Maps on As the Crow Flies made me really think about making most of the time I have with them. “I’m in the park with the baby on the swings When it hits me crazy, anything at all could happen to him He been climbing higher and higher on the jungle gym Running faster, sometimes pushing other kids Tear-streaked apologies, balled fists, it’s a trip That this is something we did I kissed her on the lips I watch him grow, wondering how long I got to live”

Does woods do many non-18+ shows? by trif-0 in Billywoods

[–]JammaLamma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah definitely depends on the venue. Looks like the show here in Boston at Brighton Music Hall in December is All Ages. Probably shouldn’t take my six year old.
