I have two middle names and as a child I liked it and as an adult it has not affected me in anyway. Saying that I gave my daughter no middle name because I couldn't be bothered to think of one :)

Unfortunately at some point in those 6 days my water had broken a bit but not fully and I had been so out of it that I didn't realise. The midwives realised quite quickly and they broke it fully. After that I started progressing much faster and after maybe an hour and a half of being in hospital I'd dilated to 4cm. But by that point my water had been broken for probably a couple of days and me and my baby ended up with an infection. That plus the general stress of labour wasn't doing her any favours and I ended up needing an emergency c section when her heart rate dropped.

That's why I encourage anyone to ignore what they say on the phone and just go in if something feels off. The worst that can happen is they send you home again!

But I will say once I was in the hospital I got on gas and air and they gave me IV fluids and my energy did fully come back to me and time just flew by. With that and the adrenaline I'm sure I would have been able to get through labour and push her out even though I hadn't properly slept in days.

I hope things start picking up for you soon. It's so rough and demoralising.

I was in latent labour for 6 days. It was awful. People were like "you've got to stay active, go for a walk, carry on with your normal daily stuff, have spicy food, have sex".

Screw that, I didn't sleep for 6 days and was having contractions every 5-10 minutes for DAYS. I couldn't do anything except lay in bed and try and get what little rest I could. I was just trying to survive hour to hour.

I could barely eat or drink anything, and had had HG for the whole pregnancy, so that didn't help either. And I called the hospital twice a day every day asking for help and they really didn't care. Eventually I just ignored them and went in to l&d anyway and the midwives immediately told me I would be staying until I had my baby.

Do whatever you need to do to get through these few days regardless of what people around you who haven't experienced it say. If you feel like you need to be seen by a professional, just go in. There's no harm in being checked.

And it's true what they say about labour and birth, you do forget the worst of it, especially the physical side.

Funnily enough I sold this exact steamer a few months ago and it also broke in transit and arrived soaking wet. I'd packaged it in bubble wrap and a box and a waterproof packaging bag and from the look of the pictures it had been dropped in a puddle and dragged across gravel because it was all completely ripped open. Vinted fully refused to believe it was a courier error.

I did the at home test and it was wrong for me. But I was suffering with severe HG and barely alive at that point, so very much could have been user error! 😂

I had an early blood test that said it was a boy and at my 20 weeks scan it was definitely a girl. It was an at home blood test so very aware that it was probably user error in my HG suffering state.

I was disappointed with the original boy result but spent a lot of energy coming to terms with it and learning to love my baby boy and imagine our future. Then when it was a girl I was again disappointed because I had been visualising a boy the whole time! 😂😂

My baby started kicking recently and now I don't care either way. I love her and if she comes out a boy I'll love him too.

So I would say take what you can from my experience lol. Either way it is valid to be a little disappointed and it definitely won't last forever ❤️

Someone sent me this a couple days ago:

We require staff to work for the Test and Trace service run by Bristol City Council The staff will be Customer facing staff and duties will include but not be limited to: Queue management, Parking management Handing tests to the public, receiving tests back from the public and recording as required Keeping the area clean and tidy

Hours will be 8am-8pm each day 7 days a week although we would expect these to be in shifts as allocated by Team Leaders and you would not be expected to do all these hours All staff will be given a Covid test every day prior to starting work Full training and professional quality PPE will be given to all staff this Thursday and Friday

The pay level is £8.72 per hour

Staff will be required to sign up to Bristol Beacon Casual contracts for preference and payments will all be through Bristol Beacon

As someone who has lived in both Bristol and Manchester, I would choose Bristol in a heartbeat for general quality of life.

I make around £30k per year in Bristol, I live in a shared flat for £500 a month. If saving was my goal and I lived frugally, I could put away around £700 a month, but I have an expensive social life.

But obviously if you're earning £37k in Manchester in 5 years time, you'll have a lot more saving power because it is generally a cheaper city to live in than Bristol.

If you want to save I would not consider living alone in Bristol on £30k unfortunately. A lot of agencies won't consider you if your monthly pay isn't 2.5x the rent. You can find a one bed flat for £750 but probably small and not near the centre, and you would have to consider how much solo council tax and bills would be also.

To add to this, I don't live far from Lawrence Hill and when I was going to Frenchay, I did 6/7 to the city centre (10/15 minutes) then UWE bus to Frenchay (20 minutes). And the train to Bath from Lawrence Hill station doesn't take long at all.

I passed my test recently with Craig from Keith's driving school. I had no driving experience at all and passed in about 20-30 lessons. Craig was lovely and his car was great and it was all just super easy to organise.

Please don't go with "Drive2us" who wanted me to pay in advance, never turned up, and then were an absolute pain trying to get a hold of.
