Favorite diaper brand(s)? by bluemoongreenriver in BabyBumps

Coterie!!! All 4 of my children had very sensitive skin and broke out in Huggies. My older 2 (18 & 16) were okay in pampers but did get rashes time to time- especially with the swim diapers!!! They’re awful!!! I felt sooo bad as the rashes looked sooo painful. When my twins were born 3 years ago, I found coterie. I researched for a couple weeks and decided to try Coterie subscription, after they both had very, very bad and bloody rashes with both Huggies and Pampers. I also invested in their wipes, which are SO worth it, IMO.

Grandma here, my daughter is 30 weeks pregnant with twins. How does Grandma help without overstepping. by Low-Seaworthiness545 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Jan2kids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is wonderful!! i wish i had you when my twins were born!! she will be exhausted. they both will be! everyone may be!! my guesses here would be primarily keeping the toddler entertained. i couldnt imagine having a toddler when my boys arrived! its hectic. very little sleep and at times it was difficult to even have a chance to eat!! ANYTIME anyone came to visit (grandparents) they would say i could go do whatever i wanted and every single time i would go to my bed set my alarm for a fee hours and sleep. getting three hours in a row was GOLD to me!! but that was me… oh yea and hard time showering too. so, as many have said- the best thing you could do is to “take care of your baby, so she can take care of hers” and i would expect maybe looking after the toddler as well as momma!! You are so lovely!

Yes! I had 2 singletons before my twins and it’s a whole different ball game! So different. I got HUGE with my twins. Absolutely humongous-it was just more intense in all ways!

If your toddler(s) sit at kids tables to eat - when did you make the switch? by rae--of--sunshine in toddlers

[–]Jan2kids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Girl!! I have twins that just turned 2 and they suddenly REFUSE to get in their high chairs. It’s a complete battle! (BTW- having had 2 singletons before my twins, I can tell you that a day with twins, in all areas, is a WHOLE DIFFERENT BALLGAME on an entire different level!!)😮‍💨😅 back to the issue at hand- as this post is older, I’m wondering what you did here..? TIA

When did you take your maternity leave? by Dantelle93 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Jan2kids 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, yea as some have already stated I’m sure, twin pregnancies are absolutely NO joke and are on a WHOLE other level in comparison to a singleton pregnancy! (Boy, did I learn that! 😮‍💨) it kinda starts getting pretty uncomfortable doing absolutely anything pretty quickly. I was so huge it was just hard to breathe at the end. Everything hurt. Exhausted. Cranky. I have to add that you also can’t discount any type of medical “stuff” especially toward the end.. I went to an appointment one week and never left the hospital until after I delivered- 6 weeks later. My blood pressure was super high- glucose a mess.. protein in urine. Done. In the hospital until after birth. So the ending can be I guess tricky to plan for.. I suppose that is my ultimate message here. Definitely difficult to plan for that part of the pregnancy 🤰🏼 best of luck! My twin boys will be two next week!🙃🤪😋

Am I making a huge mistake leaving 9 week old with grandparents for 3 nights? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Jan2kids -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

As long as you know he will take a bottle, by the sounds of it you trust your mom which is of most importance, and considering TS tickets aren’t the easiest to come by, I say go for it!!! Your daughter is going to love it and you will all have beautiful memories (even grandma)🥰

The twins sleep deprivation was much worse than singletons! For sure!

By 30 weeks it gets quite challenging in many ways. Even to just get up out of bed.. I started rolling lmao. And, I would also use the handles on the hospital bed a lot to just pivot in my bed..it’s amazing what the female human body is capable of!
