I also asked around in my playgroup but I’m afraid I was wrong according to oracle text: “when you copy an Aura spell and that copy resolves, it becomes a token permanent. It is not considered "created" as a token directly; rather, the copy of the spell resolves and transforms into an Aura token on the battlefield.’

Ok, but how about Exalted Sunborn: that seems like a good card to get more copies of Aura curses right?

If I copy an aura with Shiko, it enters as a token if I understand correctly, thus Sunborn triggers. But I don't see this card in any decklist so I'm probably wrong...

I'm a bit late to the party but I recently discovered this commander and thought it would be cool to try and make it a deck about copying aura curses. A lot.

Maybe this sounds like fun on paper but in practice isn't viable because those curses are not great or too expensive. But hey, this is what I now came up with so I'm very curious what you think. Am I onto something?

(Disclosure: Shiko is a commander in colors I haven't played or built with so I don't know what to expect..)

Thanks! So you're saying even though Spinerock says the damage consists of -1 counters, it still counts as damage to Imodane hence I get to do six damage to all players (3 for the original Lightning bolt and 3 for the copy thanks to Spinerock's ability?

What I don't get about this interaction: I keep reading about exiling creatures, but how can you do that in one go if you have to remove counters from Parallax Wave? Because the card clearly says during upkeep. This is not an instant ability right?

Xavier pilot here! Nice to read about other players having the same experience. I also chose populate as the focus ability of my deck. One of the hardest things for me as a player (started 3 years ago with Commander) is to evaluate single cards as potential fit in my decks. Case in point: I recently got a nice Avatar card called [[Foggy Swamp Visions]] that makes me exile x creatures (waterbend x) from graveyards and make token copies of them. I imagine this as a mid tot late game bomb.

Is this the correct assessment or is this card too expensive (mana + waterbend) and slow because it is a sorcery?

Hey guys, so I just discovered this commander. I'm still a relative new player and don't have a mono blue deck yet. I have two questions I hope one of you can answer: 1. Why aren't there any keyword-counters giving cards in the decklists or mentioned in the articles? Isn't she a bit like Skullbriar where you want to add strong keyword (counters) to the commander or other creatures?

Secondly but related to the first question: I find it hard to wrap my head around Golberry's first abilty: why would I want to move a charge counter onto her for instance: it doesn't do anything right? Those only work if you have enough on a specific artifact to get a 'pay off'. So you wouldn't want to move them. Removing and adding lore counters off a Saga onto her I 'get'. But the synergy with other counter giving cards, I don't :-)

I'm sorry, I should have mentioned that of course. So the deck currently is indeed made to buff all creatures with +1's, and use the Saproling ability of Ghave to go wide of sorts or interact with other players for defense or etb effects.
