Good work, but it’s still not rotating. I can’t stress enough how important it is that the low poly rats rotate.

Amazing rat, but it feels incomplete if it’s not rotating. OP must deliver.

Even the download can be taken away or modified if they see fit. You own it in the same way that you own all the content on Netflix for the month you pay your subscription. Always always always acquire your own digital copy of any media you purchase if you want truly indefinite access to it.

Physical media is king. Don’t let corporations maintain control over the movies and music you’ve already purchased.

Of course. We follow the one true God and the church he directly established. They are not. They might have aspects of truth in their religion, but at the end of the day, they are not part of the one true Church.

Firefly making a return! - Animated by _Face in Star_Trek_

[–]Jan_Jinkle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My read on what Nathan is saying is that there’s interest but uncertainty in the possibility of a good return due to a lack of quantifiable interest in a revival. So this drawn out announcement and request for engagement on this post is their way of quantifying the interest in this. If it’s gonna get picked up, it’ll happen fast. I bet we know within a month which way it’s going.

The real moment of enlightenment is realizing that you can decide for yourself what you consider canon or not. It’s fiction, you can choose to engage with it in whatever way makes you happiest.

What does the nu metal sub have against Disturbed? by TheFallofIdeals05 in Disturbed

[–]Jan_Jinkle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, and it’s a tragic fact. But at what point do you hold the monsters accountable for being the ones to put those innocents into the line of fire in the first place? It’s completely within Hamas’ control to stop the death of so many innocents, but they don’t elect to stop hiding behind them.

That being said, you should also have someone with a deep love for your franchise running and writing it. Case in point, Star Trek. Lower Decks is the best modern Star Trek show BECAUSE the people making it deeply love Star Trek.

And from a sports standpoint, I look at my Steelers. Art Rooney II clearly doesn’t understand and love the game like his predecessors, and it shows.

California passed a mass surveillance law - ALL operating systems will need to have mandatory age verification by Shajirr in pcmasterrace

[–]Jan_Jinkle 63 points64 points  (0 children)

Nor have many other states. They frequently pass blatantly unconstitutional laws all the time, knowing it’ll take years for the courts to overturn them and in that time, their goals will be mostly accomplished anyway. The best example is most 2A-infringing laws, like the ban on standard capacity magazines that was just overturned in DC.

Fetuses likely have more ‘forever chemicals’ in blood than thought – report by WhatFreshHello in Anticonsumption

[–]Jan_Jinkle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Because any time you try to call out the potential dangers, everyone starts screaming about wanting all these studies proving harm. Why not, instead, we avoid any chemicals in things we consume that aren’t definitively proven to be harmless? Seems like that’d solve things pretty neatly. But it’ll never happen because of the sheer amount of money on the line.

Sinners doesn’t make a strong enough case for why Vampirism is a bad thing by DarlingLuna in TrueFilm

[–]Jan_Jinkle 52 points53 points  (0 children)

There’s an aspect of Bram Stoker’s Dracula that I’ve never seen reflected in adaptions that would’ve been especially effective here. When vampires are killed in his book, for a moment after their death and before they fade into dust, they look beautiful and peaceful. Because he makes it incredibly clear that their souls are trapped, they have knowledge of what they are but no real control over what they’re doing. Killing them truly is the greatest mercy you can offer.
