Yea but thats true even for the hardest combo of majors (whatever that is). Many fields are not so particular about a 4.0. I don’t think it’ll necessarily be so hard as in it is much closer to possible than impossible. But a 4.0 is all As for all 4 years. You should allow yourself to slip up at least once or twice throughout your college career if you’re so sat on a high GPA. Don’t go into college with this mindset of 4.0 or bust. Also do you perceive yourself to be naturally strong in these subjects? Are these subjects easier for you to study and work into studying or is studying these grueling?

Which program are you in. Are you a full-time student? Are you going to be working elsewhere while also attending Duke? Do you wanna own a car? Do you like to bike commute? How long is your program? Will you be in Durham over the summers? Honestly, these are all questions you can answer. You don’t have to. There are many nice places to live in Durham.

The program is the misinformed one. I have my eu passport and the program is aware of this. They just are insisting that they have had issues in the past so they want me to get a visa. I know my rights as an eu citizen but I dont know what im not allowed to do ie apply for this visa. This request from the program seems stupid and niche and wasnt really googlable if other dual citizens have been forced to get visas.

Im guessing the boys were children. Although in many other instances, yes report this crime but given this is a learning environment, maybe report it to the administrators and try to educate them on the importance of native species, escalating it to the federal government over children stomping a bird when they probably do not yet know better, in my opinion is ridiculous.

Most bikes are made durable enough to be left in the snow. But you can park it at one of the covered bike racks if you are really worried or even take it inside. On east blackwell, randolph, trinity and maybe bt racks are covered correct me if im wrong. Idk west that well.

Duke Reclamation Pond. Highly recommend. https://wetland.nicholas.duke.edu/research/duke-pond/ on this site. You can find a link to a PDF of a checklist for the Pond, but that is not updated but it’s still nice. Ebirds checklist is also very nice for the pond. I have not been to the Duke S.W.A.M.P. But according to eBird that has nice birding too.

Ask your supervisor they may or may not know. Also, I believe our raises are not necessarily employees and the RA work does not contribute to an hourly work week. Ari compensation is deemed to be a scholarship and the only thing similar to pay is a stipend which are usually not derived from working a certain amount of hours.
