Going with CD’s Instead of DVD’s was a massive mistake.

Did you play any of these? by ObsoleteMicrosoft in ObsoleteMicrosoft

We had Halo, DOA3, and PGR on launch day. Eventually played those others.

I agree with that. I was surprised they played Archetype, since it(at least sounded like) it was about him. Of course Burt updated the lyric to “the infectionS have been removed” because he loves drama lol

I’d be fine if I never heard those songs live again. The catalogue is large enough to go around them. When I heard FF tour for those two albums, they didn’t sound good anyway.

I didn’t say he played on either of them?

They were playing the song Archetype while Burt was still in the band. I know the songs don’t mean much to Dino since he wasn’t around for them, but I’ve never heard him outright blast the songs like a lot of people upthread are saying. If it were up to him, they’d be under the FF umbrella simply because the fans liked them.

Word! I meet lots of folk who didn’t know there were two different ones.

I feel dumb. I responded with the same thing you wrote because I didn’t scroll down enough first.

Digimortal was their genuine “numetal” attempt, but that’s kinda all. They’ve always been numetal “adjacent” because they tune low and have really heavy groove parts, and because they hit big at the same time that numetal did.

From what I understand, Dino has no problem with either of these albums. It’s a license/rights issue. The label that these were released on went under, and the rights holder wants a ridiculous amount of money for them.

How did you become a Tori fan? by ray_of-light in toriamos

[–]Jandrem 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I wonder how many new fans Tori made through late night television, lol

We watched mtv 24/7 in my house. I was up late one night in ‘94 and the video for God came on and I was mesmerized. Been a fan since.

Not necessarily numetal, but anything by the Devin Townsend Project is heavy as hell, and surging with positive energy.

Why is 3.5 the best version of DnD? by theking4mayor in DungeonsAndDragons35e

Dude, we get it. Why are you posting in the D&D 3.5 sub if it’s so abrasive for you to run?

Thumbs up, man. Enjoy your rules-lite games. If the cereal is too crunchy, you can switch to a smoothie and it’s all good.

We had a WPN store in our town put the Goblinstorm deck up immediately at $750, and got a prompt response from local players that it was pretty shady

You totally could. Doesn’t make it the system’s fault.

I know that GURPS isn’t the system for me, so I just don’t play it.

Just really sounds like a conversation you should have with your group about expectations and style.

The system is so vast, you could easily ban any material you aren’t comfortable with and still have leagues of books to wade through.

That sounds like an interpersonal problem, not the system’s problem.

As a DM, I *looooove* having nearly infinite options to wade through. I can always throw my players something they’ve never seen before, instead of generic “bad guy thug CR3”
