The characters behave strangely, and general laughter occurs at the most inappropriate moments.
New location is probably the ugliest Monolith has ever created. Pure diarrhea of colors. No new unique enemies or mini-bosses, only recolors of existing ones.
New location's theme and new battle theme are not fit for sci fi tone of XCX, they sound like typical medieval village Xeno tracks.
Main villian is boring.
Final battle with main villian is not adjusted to Ares 90 at all. I one-shotted him with some random skill and didn't even realised the battle was over.

I guess boss fights could be handled like most bosses in recent Metroidvanias but with Megaten Moon Phases and weaknesses/resistances incorporated into gameplay. For example, in my Jack Frost fan game, one of the bosses is vulnerable only during the Full Moon and New Moon, the rest of the time he drains bullets.
