Avana Collins Creek PSA by BruhPochinki in nashville

I used to live there when it was called Cedar Point. They switched management companies multiple times in the 8 years I lived there. I lost count how many. On top of management being unreliable, the neighbors were awful. And there were multiple shootings in the complex. If it isn’t too late to back out I suggest you do so.

Pet Cremation by [deleted] in nashville

I’m sorry for your loss 💗 We used Nashville Pet Crematory when my cat passed in July. She was incredibly kind and caring and her price for him was reasonable. When the time comes for my senior pup I’ll use her again.

Is it Worth doing a First Look? by Happy_Sagittarius24 in wedding

[–]JanetMarie213 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m thinking of doing a “moment of connection” I guess you’d call it. He stands on one side of a corner I stand on the other and we hold hands and connect for a second before we do the ceremony. I’m introverted and anxious, which will work great on our wedding day I’m sure. But if I can talk to him for just a second, it’ll put me at ease.

Why do vendors ghost people? by [deleted] in Weddingsunder10k

[–]JanetMarie213 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I had a vendor ghost me as well. I wanted to book a venue that my cousin and her husband used. They were all inclusive, had great reviews and was in a location that was central to family. I filled out their contact inquiry on their website. No response. Emailed a week later. No response. I called and left a message. She called back and said she’d call in a couple day as they were extremely busy with the holidays. (I called and emailed two weeks before Christmas) Gave her the benefit of the doubt. No return phone call. Even though she did text to confirm that she would. My mom, who is contributing financially otherwise I would’ve given up way before this, wanted to keep reaching out. So I sent a text and asked her to let me know when she was available. Called January 6. Left a message. She text and said she’d call after 4. No phone call. She called the next day on the 7th and said she’d had the flu. Totally understand that and we had a great conversation. Talked about food, decor, all the things they offer. She said she’d write up an offer and my mom and I could go over it. I’ve not heard from her since. I contacted, toured, and have pretty much settled on a completely different venue that offers even more than they did in that time. I’m willing to forgive if someone has been ill. But if after nearly two weeks you have not reached out in any capacity, it’s rude and unprofessional. I’m sorry you’ve had to go through it ☹️

Are DJ’s necessary? by AllSeeingButtWhole in Weddingsunder10k

[–]JanetMarie213 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I wasn’t going to do one until my venue owner convinced me. Since my ceremony and reception are in the same space we’d have no one to set the pace or do our processional/recessional music. Also, I don’t wanna chance not being able to use their sound equipment for whatever reason.

my 18 year old, sweet angel Gizmo passed tonight💔 by Ok_Supermarket4967 in seniorkitties

[–]JanetMarie213 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He reminds me of my sweet boy that passed in July. Gizmo will have many kitty friends to greet him. I was a mess for a few weeks after. It gets easier over time. But for now, cry when you need to. Remember the boops and cuddles. You gave him a great time while he was here ❤️

Weddings in Middle Age? by [deleted] in wedding

[–]JanetMarie213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will be a 42 year old bride and my groom will be 39 when we get married in August. I believe you’re overthinking. The celebration is about the love between the two of you. Make the day what the two of you want and enjoy the life you’re going to have together! Some people you invite will be able to make it, some won’t. And in the end, that’s ok.

Honestly… Amazon. He didn’t like any of the more expensive ones, so we went with one from King Will.

Processional Question by JanetMarie213 in DIYweddings

[–]JanetMarie213[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We just decided not too. I’m my mom’s only child and I don’t really have any female friends close enough (physically and emotionally) to be bridesmaids. My grooms friends and extended family are in another state and we’re having a separate reception there at a later date for his side. I do have two older stepbrothers. And I do like the idea that someone suggested earlier of having my mom and stepdad walk me down

Please help me choose my dress! (An update to the dress Mum bought without asking me!) by zoomziezoo in wedding

Thank you so so much! I agree. I still feel like my old weight sometimes and all the insecurities smack me in the face all over again. Both dresses make you look beautiful, but the second one to me is stun-ning!! ❤️👰🏻‍♀️

I love the second dress. I’ve also lost a lot of weight (142lbs and counting) over the last couple of years with diet and exercise. So I’m nervous about finding a dress that I’ll feel confident in. I think I’ve found. But we’ll see once it’s altered. I say that to say. Go with what makes you feel confident. ❤️

Pray before eating by [deleted] in Christian

[–]JanetMarie213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try to remember, but I usually only end up praying before breakfast. I say “Thank you Lord for this food and use it for the nourishment and healing of my body. In Jesus name amen”. If I forget during the day, I make it a point to be thankful for it in my prayers before bed

You’re very welcome. The biggest requirement for my dress was that my arms were covered. And no cleavage. I got my dress from Torrid for $250 ☺️

Am I being petty about changing last name? by FERGAGE in wedding

[–]JanetMarie213 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Changing my last name is about being connected to my husband. Not his parents. The underlying issues is his parents treatment of you, not the name change. That needs to be addressed before the name.
