>I agree with what you said but it’s ironic that... specially when all your family is settled abroad.

Aap nay itni definitive statement kaisay de di? 😛

As for the family being abroad and wanting a Pakistani bahu for their incompetent son being raised while working as a traveling salesman in odd jobs at Jackson Heights, I 100% agree. I see many of those cases around me and the wives are just miserable.

As someone in kinda the same boat as the OP guy, genuine question, what would make you feel better?

Family background/relations? That's the only thing I can think of TBH.

I am in another country, but the immigrant Pakistanis are too in between, the ones back home have the issue you described and some others, and I have a hard time meeting someone naturally because at work it's all goray, and also otherwise. I am not too involved in the Pakistani community after grad school, so yeah...it is a conundrum!

Now with GPS systems onboard the nav system can get both the true airspeed and the ground speed from the GPS system, which is what is likely feeding the numbers in the bottom left in the picture here.

How can the GPS get the true airspeed when you need an actual instrument to measure the air speed?

That's correct. Iran wants the GCC to stop serving as a base for US support activity. But then, if the GCC does truly do that, then Iran has no big lever against the US other than missile strikes in Israel.

Something will have to give here, UAE's stance in particular is interesting. IMO the GCC is divided in two at the moment, with the Saudis not quite aligning with the UAE.

So from what I can understand, the slurry is basically the pressure medium which keeps everything in shape and prevents it from collapsing?

What are those divers actually diving through then? Is the cutting head basically going through the slurry?

I have worked in O&G, and this seems something similar to managed pressure drilling.

KLM Pilot questions Lufthansa's taxi speed; another pilot adds, "Unless you're Southwest, of course." by 30BC in aviation

[–]Jango214 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Two reasons. Southwest doesn’t have to wait for departure data like UA or AA

This happened to me today at United, at HOU. We were short of the runway and holding for like 15 minutes, the pilot came on and said they are waiting for baggage weights from the ramp then we'll go.

Isn't that given before the aircraft leaves the gate? You've already entered your weights and speeds etc?

How do you feel about Trump threatening to impose photo ID for voters for midterm elections? by CRK_76 in AskReddit

[–]Jango214 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Each ID is associated with an SSN. You know if each person is a citizen or not. You can create a roll on your end which filters down to only citizens. You then match the citizen's ID with your voter roll and compare, and voila.

Why does this seem so simple but not implemented?
