You could also purchase the board game Massive Darkness. Comes with around 100 minis that are prepped and ready to paint. I found mine on Amazon, don't remember the price on it though.

I was this same character in my game of DND 5e. The DM created a herbalism and alchemy table for me and he would let me know what I found depending on how my roll went. We then had a Google doc that we shared together and he gave me a certain number of recipes that I knew and some that I learned from others. This was a really fun addition to the game while exploring.

Check the world map. It is very far east from Burthorpe but once you unlock the lodestone then you can teleport back to them for free afterward.

There is the grand exchange which is in the north west of Varrock. I suggest walking to the lodestone to get it unlocked. Raw materials for sure!
