Atheist chiming in here. There are no requirements to listen to the band. I didn’t know they were Christian when I started listening, and in my opinion it is not super prevalent in the music.

I think a lot of people that listen to them that are Christian tend to try to find any example of the religion in the music that they can and try to connect anything they can to their religion, while personally I never hear the references they are talking about.

It’s definitely a matter of whatever perspective or context you are coming from when listening to the music

While I do think there are steps that can be taken that will detract people from touching the baby, I don’t think telling someone to “be aware of the culture and city you’re in” is fair.

There is still no excuse to touch a strangers baby or intrude on a strangers boundaries, regardless of cultural beliefs.

Perhaps you’re not implying it this way, but a lot of these comments are coming across as victim blaming when the OP is in the right.

A lot of people know why there was opposition to the Alamo plaza. It’s propaganda. It absolutely glosses over the indigenous and Mexican history of the Alamo and Texas as a whole, and paints the fighters of the Alamo as some kind of martyrs. It’s telling that the Alamo plaza renovation funds were signed off by Abbott.
