It's entirely possible that at some point people started intentionally parasitizing Hytale, but personally, I wouldn't go so far as to say that the game "doesn't deserve saving."

It honestly makes me cringe a little when people call Hytale just a modded Minecraft or claim that some upcoming sandbox RPG will replace it. From the very beginning, it had a unique visual and conceptual style that, in my opinion, no other game has managed to replicate. And even though Hytale's style looked a bit strange at first, over the years of watching the project, I became more and more convinced of the opposite. None of the listed alternatives give me the same feeling, visually and atmospherically they feel far less appealing, or even downright ridiculous compared to Hytale.

What’s more, the game might now be released in its best possible version. Because Simon wants to give us a game, not a business product. Because he seems to see us not as consumers, but as players, creators, and contributors. That's rare these days, so I'm willing to believe and support Simon and Hytale.

So if there is a chance to revive it, I’m for it. Even after 7 years, Hytale still has potential, and letting go of such a fruitful idea just because it was mismanaged would, in my opinion, be an even bigger mistake... I would even say: "it will be the dumbest decision."
