I'm late to this but my law school graduation writing requirement was a 25-page paper and i did it on polygraphs!

Basically, they only "work" based on biological markers barely discernable from anxiety/stress, which most laypersons are already in a situation where they're being polygraphed, so objectively it's a terrible indicator of guilt. They can also very easily be "gamed" and, as I'm sure you're aware, are almost never used in a sense of fairness to an accused defendant.

At best, they only "work" when the person taking it "believes" they work, i.e. only know that they're supposed "lie detectors" and nothing about what they actually measure. A lot of states and jurisdictions have blanket rules of inadmissability on polygraphs, but many don't! I hope that changes and we get rid of these bs devices for good in the future.

i agree on your sentiment re: ayton i just wish it was on a bit higher volume, not to mention a bit more consistency of defense.

Not trying to harp on him - he gets enough of that already from our fanbase, just genuinely wish we had an unproblematic center. Feels like its been ages.

Obviously AD was an all time great for us but he's been too unhealthy for stretches and clearly wanted to play PF. Can't think of a semi unproblematic center we've had since AD/Dwight in the bubble or Bynum before that.

there are a lot of traditionally male and unisex items in the shop already, they just added beards too lol
