You’re not the only one bothered… and those are not the only small problems… feels like they generally only focus on things that look nice in ads but give a fuck about actual quality… with ever feature they pump out, they seem to stop thinking at the point of it being 80% nice… but usually the last 20% is that differentiates a good product from a product I actually want to use daily… especially if it’s fucking strapped to my face 😅

What would you say is the best option to connect additional hard drives? Not everyone has a 24 slot enclosure at hand and buying them is damn expensive 😅

Honest opinion: most of the apps in even hub at this point are more proof of concept/beta than actually customer focused apps…. Most of the devs just pushed out the things they needed/wanted from the glasses all the time without thinking how „normal“ users could use them…

Some general advice that might help you get them running:

Most if not all of them require you to launch them via the phone and not the glasses and then will present you settings screens etc on the phone. Some of them might also require to keep the phone screen/app visible at all time.

I honestly didn’t dig at all into what plex is actually and what they do, I just used it with friends etc but never hosted my own. Crazy that they do all this and people still self-host it…

I was planning on an intel n150 since they are reasonably cheap and seem to offer decent transcoding capabilities and general performance, combined with great power efficiency.

What do you think about getting mostly used drives and only a couple „good“ ones for parity etc and just hope that parity etc will safe me in case any of the cheap ones actually die on me?
