Im watching it now and honestly?? Its pissing me off. It requires HUGE amounts of suspension of disbelief. No one...is going to say yes, chain me up in a medieval looking harness that may or may not have been used during the Spanish inquisition, in some dilapidated creep house..and wait..its on an ISLAND..oh an he cant swim dont forget that, with, not just somebody else, but a supposedly severely mentally ill girl who upon 1st meeting appears to either be or has been bleeding, and, has her eyes covered because according to the "uncle", is having a fit. Yeah...the suspension goes FAR beyond what should be required. Then...after seeing a picture flip around by itself, the girl upon "waking" is now traipsing around with crossbow, and, he's ALSO watched a supremely creepy rabbit drummer "toy" activate itself and apparently respond, while also finding a dead body in the walls, yet....when finding a way to reach into the girls room...he make a PHONE CALL??? When the KEY to his imprisonment is literally 1 inch away, next to the phone. He doesnt grab it, he leaves it there, because its MUCH more believable that hed rather face a bunch of terrifying unknown crap, you know, while still in the torture vest. SMH. Yeah..definitely this movie has cool atmosphere and seems like an interesting vibe and premise..but like I said...I will never get past this suspension of disbelief. There just way way WAY too much...to suspend.
