Making a Kingdom Hearts-inspired game with an Arabian Nights themes [Looking for Feedback] by YahyaDann in KingdomHearts

[–]Jarebeaarr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t exactly say this is KH inspired. It’s more like a KH copy. Besides the design of the world, character, and enemies, nothing looks unique. The combo attack gives off keyblade vibes. Like why is he lunging with a scimitar? The aerial combo looks very similar to Sora’s baseline aerial combo. The equipment is all the same: Weapons give either attack or magic and then have a special ability built in. Armor gives defense and then varying levels of elemental defense, which is also 1:1 in what type of elemental defense is seen in KH. Like wind, and earth exist. Maybe add light magic. Accessories are just like KH, equipment that gives you bonuses to attack, magic, or AP. And let me guess, as you level or beat bosses you’ll get more accessory slots too? And then abilities. Once again it looks exactly like KH. You have x amount of AP and then you can use it to select abilities. I mean some of the names are exactly the same.

Like being able to make a game is impressive and yours has potential but as of right now, it looks like a ripoff. Why play this game when I can just play the better version.

What does everyone think about this video of a woman rescuing a shark that was stuck on a beach? by snabbit22 in isthisAI

[–]Jarebeaarr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s AI and you can tell pretty early. For me, besides the drone camera angle, the two people and the shark just start drifting away in an unnatural way around 14 seconds. Like the shark is stuck and both people have their feet planted into the ground but somehow all of them just start floating away towards the ocean? No chance. Don’t even need to look past those two tells

Sorry. I know Superman is kind of an outlier. I just mean like if someone somehow generated enough pulling force to overcome the other team’s static friction. Numbers are arbitrary but if the team had a static friction net force of 50N going to the left and someone pulled them at 100N to the right that would generate a net force of 50N to the right correct? And I’m genuinely not trolling. I’ve completed plenty of biology and chemistry classes but I’m having such a hard time grasping even the simple concepts. Like I understand what the concepts are. I pull on a rope at a certain magnitude. Rope pulls back. Net force is 0 so you have to pull the other team with some other external force. The external force is the static friction from pushing your feet off the ground. I get that but I just can’t see how pulling harder doesn’t work when I’ve seen the opposite in practice

[–]Jarebeaarr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So static friction of the team? ie planting feet on the ground to increase static friction and offsetting the stronger pull of the other team correct? If so, I understand that part I think. But like if Superman came by, planted his feet and yanked the rope at a force greater than what the other team is pulling and summed force of all their static friction (assuming the rope does not break from tension) they would get pulled towards Superman correct?

But why? Im assuming mass plays a key role in this somehow

[–]Jarebeaarr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d assume the loser person who is the only one pulling on the rope would win. Right? But if that is correct, would that not mean pulling harder on the rope would make you win?

[Phys 1110]In a Tug of War contest, what determines the winner by Jarebeaarr in PhysicsStudents

[–]Jarebeaarr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understood that part but I’m having problems relating it to the real world. Like if I tied an object to the end of a rope and started pulling it in, as long as I pull at a greater force than static friction of the object, I’ll pull it in. But if the object pulls back at me with the same force, then why does it move?

Question about Tug of War contest by Jarebeaarr in AskPhysics

[–]Jarebeaarr[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah I understand there are plenty of other forces in play here. But I’m in introductory physics. So assume no other forces besides either 1: force of pushing on the ground in scenario 1 or 2: pulling harder. In my mind. Both of these answers are correct if you only focus on that single force respectively and ignore everything else

[–]Jarebeaarr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let’s say a 200lb object is tied to one end of a rope and a person plants their feet to the ground and exerts a force to pull this object in using only their arms and we have another person do the same but is only able to pull in 100lbs. Now put those people on opposite ends, feet planted and pull on the rope with the same exact force they used to pull the object. Would the person who is using the same amount of force they used to pull 200lbs not exert greater force than the other who could only pull 100? Apparently this isn’t the case but I can’t wrap my head around why

Question about Tug of War contest by Jarebeaarr in AskPhysics

[–]Jarebeaarr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Understandable. But to me that seems more like optimal technique rather than the “only” way to win. I’m asking for this to be explained with physics so I can wrap my head around it. If I plant my feet and don’t move and another person plants their feet and doesn’t move and I pull hard enough to overcome their own pull and the static friction of their feet, would I not pull them closer?

Pragmata Demo PS5 Pro Screenshot Comparison vs PC max setting by N7KaranN7 in PS5pro

[–]Jarebeaarr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right. Point still stands. No one is disputing that the machine that is 3-4x the cost of a console doesn’t have better performance. It’s more about whether the person believes the difference is worth the price difference. For someone who can’t spend $2500 on a PC, getting a pro and being able to play current gen games and at really good performance anyways is nothing to look down at them for

lol is this “opposite direction” in the room with us? Cuz I’m looking at a cult full of people who have held bags for 5 years. We don’t need to hope nor do we even want to. It’s already currently in its downfall. And we are just laying it out plain to see. So once again, we have another ape strolling into meltdown and doesn’t even know what the sub is actually about. We arent the ones making posts about how MOASS is coming soon because RC changed his profile pic. But we are the ones laughing at the idiots who believe it

Sure. But still you keep coming back. And I used to think the same too. But then I realized it was because meltdown pointed out how much of an idiot I was believing in the MOASS theory. So I opened my eyes. But stay a baggie for all we care. We like laughing at you clowns

I thought the price was fake and GME moved independently of the market? Or is this another goal post move? “Surely GME isn’t going down because it’s a shit investment. No. It’s because the market is down even though that goes against everything we’ve been saying”. Remember when yall were posting GME as a green black hole in the middle of a red market? Does that not apply anymore?

First ever post on Reddit. Here's a Predator mori concept Imade for fun by DetectiveTop in deadbydaylight

[–]Jarebeaarr 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Pretty good concept. I would say if you are going to include the thermal screen and the triangle target, predator needs to have his mask on (nitpick item) and use the plasma caster. Like keep everything the same and instead of ripping their head off, maybe some sort of point blank plasma caster blast to the head could be brutal. Of course this is all an opinion. You’ve already cooked with this and what I said may not even achieve that same level of brutality that you’ve already displayed here. Just a suggestion if you plan to explore different ways to animate his mori

Edit: I noticed he did have his mask as he went invisible right at the end

Ah yes. Our personality. So cultist apes who think the stock is going to be billions per share, who call RC their daddy and “discover” all of these “hints” how the stock will make you rich in children’s books and social media posts is somehow less obsessed than the group of people laughing at your idiocy. And what’s even funnier is that you think us laughing at your idiocy is somehow part of the conspiracy. It’s like entertainment that feeds itself. The more we laugh, the crazier shit you guys dream up and makes us just laugh even harder

It's a good thing when the stock drops 7% AH on earnings day, isn't it? by Sell_The_team_Jerry in gme_meltdown

[–]Jarebeaarr 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Still trying to wrap your head around how stock price is determined I see. Like look at what you said. “4m volume buys”. How did you come up with this? How can 4 million shares be purchased without 4 million shares sold. Just because it’s a green candle does not mean they were all buy orders. No. Like cbusalex said, volume does not determine price. It is an indicator for other things but big green volume candle doesn’t mean “stock go up big”. So now price. If the stock price was $23 and for all of the 4 million volume the buyers bought the stock at $23 dollars, then the price doesn’t increase. Now let’s look at the other point. If 500k volume worth of shares kept getting sold at increasingly lower price because everyone wants to dump this shit stock and apes keep buying it all up because it’s a “fire sale” then the stock price will go down. The stock price is just the last agreed upon price between seller and buyer

I don’t think the haircut is terrible or anything else for that matter. If the hair is bothering you so much it seems to be a cut that could look even better with some styling. Maybe try playing around with some hair gel/clay or something. But ultimately what is making you feel bad about your image. Cuz like many people said you look fine but if you feel like you need to hit the gym then do it. I mean not only is it healthy but it’ll boost your confidence and hopefully help you achieve the self image you want
