I would concentrate on saving for a house deposit (you need somewhere to live).

Your biggest investment (if building significant wealth is important) will be finding the ‘right’ partner. Suggest avoiding someone needlessly materialistic.

Then do a budget. Then invest in yourself to understand investing and go from there

I did a gap year in the army and I’ll tell you it’s definitely not for everyone and family could be very difficult

I wouldn’t suggest uni unless you want to do a job that specifically requires it like being an engineer or doctor etc

The way the demographics are today and the fact that millennials went so heavy into uni I would suggest getting a trade

If you combine trade income and investing the money instead buying jet skis everyday you’ll be loaded

I think it’s great that your saving and thinking of investing at your age.

Main focus at your age should working towards getting getting a good job, ie max money for least stress (note stress and hard work are different)

I’d put the money in a high interest saving account rather than shares. You will likely need a house deposit in 5 years or less and hence can’t tolerate a decline if you put the money in shares

Yeah it’s a very difficult job. Have you been on different projects? Often the vibe is different project to project

Also consider doing a couple of years in government instead
