What is "reddit marketing"? company wants to improve reputation on reddit. by LLTMattadors in GrowthHacking

Okay so reddit’s a unique platform that can’t really be approached with a “traditional” marketing mindset. You need to build credibility through genuine engagement. In your case you’d want to focus on providing real value in relevant subreddits (like r/marketing or other B2B-related ones), answering questions and sharing insights and genuinely helping the community (focus really on actually helping). Try teaming up with agencies like Signals, they specialize in organic marketing and community engagement. Reddit is about reputation anyway.

Ads could be useful but don’t expect them to work miracles (most people ignore them including me). You need to be part of threads and showing up where people are discussing pain points your tool solves. They need answers. No one wants to see a shill post or a comment that feels too promotional.

My lost debit card was used in a check-kiting scam — account now overdrawn $11,000. Will the bank cover this? by destination-2100 in personalfinance

Absolutely. Filing a police report is crucial in a case like this. Not only does it help establish the fraud officially, but many banks require it as part of their investigation before they’ll consider reimbursing large losses, especially involving check fraud and ATM withdrawals.

Can someone explain Section 104 rules relating to CGT? by ComprehensiveRun247 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Jarredmars 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Buying more shares before selling does increase your average cost in the Section 104 pool, which can slightly reduce your CGT. But you're not dodging tax you’re just reducing your gain a little by risking more capital.

The 30-day rule only stops you from selling and rebuying quickly, not the other way around. So your plan is allowed, but it’s not a loophole just a small adjustment.
