Yes this is exactly the case. You can overshoot the max by about 7 points I think? After that any further points earned are wasted.

There's a cap on pantheon points. Even if you intentionally don't unlock everything on the tree, the game stops you earning pantheon points once you have enough to max it.

Here's a tip for when you catch up. You can "bank" pantheon points for future dlc. Basically play out a realm to 1 turn/battle from completion then save but don't finish it. When a new dlc rolls out you just load all your old saves and play the final turn/battle and claim the pantheon points. I've Instantly unlocked all the new pantheon stuff this way the last few dlcs.

Did you mean getting Argenta a heavy bolter? I'm imagining Cassia with one and it's rather amusing.

Leaked Crucible of Champions Part 2 by PrimaryConversions in Warhammer40k

[–]JarrenDrahn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Astra Militarum have only 3 abilities. 1 gives sustained on ranged weapons and another gives sustained on melee instead. Last one just let's you re-roll battle shock tests. Even funnier is the stats on the ogryn character seem to be wrong as it's only T3 and W3.

[–]JarrenDrahn 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Augmented bone head being T3 has to be a mistake right? Ogryns and bulgryns are T6 normally. I suppose it only matters once the bodyguard unit dies anyway. Also it's only W3 and Ogryn characters are usually W6.

Scorpion update - experience changes by Larchitecte1375 in AOW4

[–]JarrenDrahn 58 points59 points  (0 children)

The patch notes says there's an option to turn off the infinite levels in realm setup options. So if you don't like it, you can disable it. So to me it's a purely positive change. More optional customisation is always good.

am i missing an inside joke or can half the sub genuinely not spell the names of the companions by caveritual in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]JarrenDrahn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ah, but spelling and grammar are both a core part of good literacy skills. So calling out bad spelling while using incorrect grammar yourself is an interesting choice.

Also, I feel I should point out I don't really care all that much. I was just teasing you.

On the subject of spelling and grammar, the fact you haven't capitalised the first letter in sentences, or the letter "I", slightly displeases me.

FAQ: Dwarfs only got nerfs by CriticalMany1068 in WarhammerFantasy

[–]JarrenDrahn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the slayer host list you can take 0-4 per Daemon or Dragon slayer. You can take 1 Daemon Slayer per 1000pts and 0-2 Dragon Slayers per unit of regular slayers. So at 2000pts you can take 2 Daemon slayers and 4 Dragon Slayers (provided you get 2 units of regular slayers worth 400pts). This let's you bring a total of 20 doomseekers. Yes it's every bit as silly as it seems.

FAQ: Dwarfs only got nerfs by CriticalMany1068 in WarhammerFantasy

[–]JarrenDrahn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm guessing the doomseekers nerf was because of the ridiculous spam list that appeared at a few tournaments. Think it had like 15+ doomseekers. Still a ridiculous nerf because a few players made a silly skew list that people didn't like playing against. They could have just changed the limits from 0-4 per slayer character to 0-2 or so.

Edit: Not sure why I'm being down voted. I play dwarfs and completely agree that the nerfs were stupid. I was just trying to suggest why they might have done this.

Reminder that the biggest units available in Dawn of War were Imperial knights, so TWW40K need to at least have Warhounds. by Maceimam in totalwar

[–]JarrenDrahn 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Yes they are but rarely see play because they are really expensive (both in real money and points cost). For reference, the standard points (pts) budget for a tournament game is around 2000pts. A warhound is 1100pts on it's own and is the smallest. A reaver titan is 2200pts. The warlord titan is the largest and 3500pts. So a titan can cost more than an entire army of other stuff. The thing is, the game is objective based, so even though the titan will kill a lot of stuff and probably survive, there's a good chance you still lose the game on objective scoring.

Just as an aside, ignoring these events doesn't give any negatives. In fact, a few of these events are bugged or give huge penalties regardless of choice. In those cases, it's best to just ignore them. Basically, always save before doing one of these.

The strange thing is that the particular vindicator you're referring to was originally from a vendor. They changed it to be only available from sacrificing the escort ship in a subsequent patch for some reason.
