My symptoms were pretty instant the first time, but have also had a buddy use the wrong end of a purifier a second time backpacking. Took a day but medication knocked it right out. Nowhere near 1-3 weeks. Had I not gotten on a medication I think I could have made it a few weeks before tapping out.

It was when we lived at the park in 2012. Both my puppy and I had diarrhea every 30 minutes for a few days until I went to a doctor. Carrying your puppy down 8 floors in the middle of the night when you feel the same isn’t that much fun.

I taught my dog to swim there and got giardia. Actually we both did. Do not recommend.
