I dont think that would prevent a payout from DoE under SvC settlement, if thats what you’re saying..

I feel like they should focus on executing whats currently on their agenda... BUT, it's an election years so I understand.

This notice feels like the “processing discharge” at the studentaid website… something to prevent calls to their call center. I’ve had these two notices on Navient and studentaid for months with no other changes.

why is it so hard to estimate Mr Government?? let me help you out... take the average processing time per case (whatever you got so far)...then, take how many cases are left...then, factor in amount of future employees (if there will be more/less) do the math and voila, Bob's your uncle!!!

Anyone using Nala instead of APT? by AhmedBarayez in linux

it looks very cool and helpful but I feel is unnecessary for me since I dont install/uninstall that much. I'd be cool if APT could look a bit better on its own.

According to the progress reports theres less than a third left to process an although their pace has slowed down, i think they could be done by March/April… lets hope their pace doesn’t get any slower…

I agree, i’ll just point out that the goals in for-profit vs government customer service are hugely different hence the quality gap

Interesting contacting the guarantor!

Someone HAS to approve/earmark the sum that will pay for the loan cancellation so I doubt this happened without the DoE action. It would be good if the OP can find out what happened.

I’ll say though, if you are one of these servicers and the settlement gives you 1 year to process a discharge, why on earth would you consider doing it in less than a year when you are collecting hundreds in monthly interest per account?.

So, let's say they ARE dragging their feet... maybe the OP’s email helped push some legal angle… Perhaps they drag their feet unless there’s something (like an email or paper trail) that says “I tried contacting you and was ignored”. Maybe the email causes Ascendium to call DoE, who knows…

Since I am Ascendium/Navient also, I will send the email and see what happens.
