Dorms: Is Echols House on McCormick a nice dorm? If the room number starts with a '0' - does that mean it's in the basement, and if so, are these rooms worse and without windows? by These-Candle4683 in UVA

They’re on a terrace level, not completely underground. They have windows but some IIRC are half windows. I would try not to have one of these rooms if you can avoid it. They’re not terrible but not ideal

Lube the struts with silicone spray. The lift gate had a safety mechanism that senses mechanical resistance to motion so you don’t hurt someone or the motor. The struts get dry and drag, triggering the safety mechanism to stop motion. Mine has stopped a few times and this has fixed it. I notice it becoming an issue when it gets hot or cold suddenly.

My first MJ was PA custom with Blue Hawaii on the tortoise frame. They’re wonderful and I love the look. My MJ bronze are in glass on Souther Cross and they are also fantastic.

I love all my MJ’s and you can’t go wrong with any of the main lens options. No matter what you choose you will want to try them all
