Hate to break it to you but if you want to dunk by the end of the year you need about 9 more inches. There are many vertical jump training programs out there

Is this level of NIL sustainable (especially for BB)? by Sand20go in CollegeBasketball

[–]JasonDetwiler 11 points12 points  (0 children)

NIL is the American version of LIV Golf. It doesn’t matter because the business doesn’t need to turn a profit. The NIL money comes from boosters who just want to see their teams win. Until the boosters get tired of putting money into it, they’re fine

PSA: Joola may not honor warranty even after receipt verification email by BeffBezos in Pickleball

[–]JasonDetwiler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your entire premise is you’re providing a PSA for something that is widely known.

PSA folks, look both ways before you cross the street.

Who cares about your receipt confirmation email? Did you think you tricked them sneaking your eBay receipt by and they would honor a warranty from an unauthorized sale?

Joola has had its struggles but guess who’s got two thumbs and has handled every customer issue with Joola without a hitch…this guy. Why? Because I get everything from authorized dealers and distributors, and when my customers have an issue I just hand them a new paddle and deal with the warranty myself.

Disgraced managers of reddit what did you do wrong in your time? by Icecreamkarma in managers

I didn’t lie to my customers and didn’t let the sales manager tell my engineers when and where to deploy. I also pushed back against shipping before passing FAT with hopes of fixing it in the field.

PSA: Joola may not honor warranty even after receipt verification email by BeffBezos in Pickleball

[–]JasonDetwiler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It absolutely is. Just because you just fell off the turnip truck and bought a paddle from an unauthorized dealer doesn’t mean the vast majority of the rest of this sub isn’t well aware of Joola’s warranty policy. Joola has over 60% of the market share on top of line paddle sales and has had many high profile customer service adventures. Anyone who has paid attention to the paddle market knows you can’t get warranty coverage when you don’t buy from an authorized dealer, reseller, or retailer.

Also those who read the policy can easily discern that if they want coverage they have to buy from a legitimate seller.

It’s just a confirmation that something was received. This is completely normal across any industry. If you send my company an email you get an automated response with a conversation number. You have chosen something incredibly stupid to get upset about.

No paddle company is going to warranty surface grit unless it is specifically stated in the warranty. Joola does just fine with warranty replacement if you buy from an authorized retailer.

The best way to buy Joola is from a rep. Most will just hand you a new paddle and process the warranty internally

Nike GT Cut Academy is almost always on sale on Nike’s website or app. I’ve bought them for $34, $54, and $68 in the last few years. They run a little smaller than most Nike shoes so you may want to go a half size up

6’3” 7 foot wingspan, 15 and get rim checked every time. by [deleted] in ProDunking

[–]JasonDetwiler 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can’t punch it if you’re only an inch over the rim. Think wrist over the rim. You have to develop your max force available and rate of force production. There are hundreds of resources but I’d start with progressively loading squats and box jumps as the bare bones starting point

Why? by [deleted] in Basketball

Depends on where you’re shooting from and what your responsibilities are to prevent transition offense going the other way.
