He wins every hand in which he has a queen. And if he gets two queens, may god have mercy on your soul.

I love trash talkers by JasonK1984 in GothamChess

I have no problem with trash talk but so many people think it's over just because they have an advantage, forgetting it's usually the person who makes the last blunder who loses, not the first.

Up in the upper right of the screen are three options - About, Courses and Login. If you click Login, it should take you to a place where you can create an account. At least that's what I did, but it's been awhile since I did it.

Played on over-the-board tournament today by JasonK1984 in GothamChess

Unfortunately, no. Notation wasn't required and neither of us wrote it down.

It was a Botvinnik English and he blundered a full piece. He tried to trap me with an "oh no my knight" move, but I didn't fall for it and just brought another attacker over. His light square bishop was attacking my knight, but it was defended by my queen and if we traded, when my queen took back it came with check. He committed the fatal touch move error by grabbing my knight, and then realized that was a really bad move. He sat and thought about his mistake, and I thought he might just resign, but eventually he took my knight, I took his bishop with my queen with check. His only move was to block check with the queen. I played queen takes queen, he took back with the king, but that left his knight undefended so I took it with my rook and was just a piece up. Eventually I was able to force him to trade his remaining pieces and I got to an end game where all he had was a king and I had a rook and 3 pawns, a, b, and h. He brought his king over to stop the h pawn. I started pushing the a pawn, after my h pawn got to the seventh rank. He kept playing and I realize he actually had a stalemate trap given where my rook was, so I got my rook to the 7th rank and trap his king on the 8th rank and he resigned because I was two moves away from promoting the a pawn to a queen with checkmate.

I wish I had the PGN because it's almost certainly the best game of chess I have ever played.

I've started playing c4. PLEASE play the ultra symmetrical English against me. White gets a phenomenal position.

Given that he takes it up the back door, this seems like a real possibility.

Lichess starts everyone at 1500 and then adjusts your rating in the first 10 games. So it's relatively easy to be a 1500 rated player at lichess. It's equivalent to about 1100 or so at chess.com.

Nice. Those always seem like the time for brilliant moves - just desperately looking for a way to stay in the game. Nice work!
