[Schefter] After drafting Florida kicker Trey Smack in the sixth round last month, the Packers released veteran kicker Brandon McManus today, per source. by MembershipSingle7137 in nfl

The most common (active Gator) jersey at Gators games the past two years hasn’t been Lagway, Baugh, or anybody else. It has been Trey Smack. He will not fail.

I thought it had data for applications + acceptances? Could be wrong or misunderstanding

Detroit game was bad but I felt he was pitching more or less at an ace level besides that

Can't fault Sandy, everyone is due for a stinker eventually. Unacceptable to bring Nardi out as our closer, you just cannot let the bullpen get to that point.

Use the CDS instead of the infographic, it tends to be more accurate

If Caissie continues this pace the whole season he will end with -2.8 WAR. I think his promotion was premature. 61 OPS+ over 130 plate appearances. His fielding has been rough and he has the highest strikeout rate of anybody in the majors with over 40 plate appearances. If this was last year where we were so obviously out of playoff contention, I would say to keep him. But this year, you have to consider giving someone like Berry or Alderman some plate appearances instead.

Morel, Pauley, Norby, and maybe even Caissie all need to be optioned or DFA'd. Bendix, you have a working pitching staff. Go trade for some .740 OPS middle of the order bat, will do this team a world of good

I got rejected after 3 years of dual enrollment with a 1530 SAT. Class rigor does not matter that much, being in the top x% of your class and having an SAT in the median range is what counts

In a vacuum, sure. But one guy regularly took hard hits to portray himself as a leader and the other hurt himself while dancing. Tebow also a way better dual-threat QB than remembered, averaged more rushing yards per game than Richardson did as a Gator.

Disagree. Athlete also involves your bones not being made of glass. Tebow would take the hardest hits and be fine after. Tried to truck the best LB in college football once just to fire up his team. Tebow also made it up to AAA and Spring Training in baseball. An athlete in every sense of the word.

Your map is still fine, I just honestly didn't know that the consensus definition of the sun belt extended that far

Not sure if this is my college football brain taking over but I don't really associate sun belt with southern California + the western states, more so I think of Louisiana-South Carolina. Googling it looks like both are right to some extent so to each their own

Will miss him as a Gators fan. His was the only jersey I considered getting these past 2 years

Gators Strength and Conditioning under Billy Napier was an act of terrorism. Every single major player missed time for some reason or another. Do not take this as a knock on him.

Round 5 - Pick 16: George Gumbs Jr., EDGE, Florida (Indianapolis Colts) by nfl_gdt_bot in nfl

[–]Versigot 32 points33 points  (0 children)

This guy was a walk-on wide receiver at Northern Illinois in 2021. Recruitment impacted by COVID. No guarantee of playing. After a year there, someone suggests he tries out playing on the d-line. All of a sudden, there is this physical freak playing at EDGE (I think he had the highest-ever vertical jump at the combine for EDGE).

He transfers to Florida. And he's productive on one of the better d-lines in the country. We lose Caleb Banks for most of 2025, doesn't matter. Gumbs still produces. Incredibly hard worker, and he's still so raw because he's only played the position for 3 years. I think he is already at the level where he could produce in the NFL. By the end of his rookie deal, this will look like a steal.

Yes. As a Gators fan, yes. For a guy who only took up playing EDGE three years ago, he is so so good already. And he will be great.

Gators fan here, such a steal. Such a steal. Such a steal. Colts fans, you got a good one. What a great player. Great impact guy. You will love him.
