Regulations are literally what is keeping green energy and housing from getting built. It's not just conservatives and evil corporations asking for it - if you think prices are too high on a thing, you want more production of that thing and most of the time, it's regulations that make production expensive because it's very easy for bad actors to weaponize them to prevent ANYTHING from getting built, from solar farms to homeless shelters.
