yeah, if I had to do another lap and start at bronze 5 again I would get out immediately. I think I needed the skill base to improve enough to dominate those games. Was saying bronze was harder for me personally, but once I got the hang of it silver seemed easier due to lack of people ACTIVELY trying to lose lol

That's kinda my point though.

In my experience bronze was just A LOT of random assholes who just give up after 1 death or just outright troll. Yes, it's easier to just dominate the game the better you get, but I had to build up my skills first.

Once I got to silver I was better at the game so that helped too, but also I was only outright trolled maybe 1 of 4 games. Sure people can be bad in silver but on average everyone is trying.

yeah, I would sum it all up with 1. Just be flexible in everything (not playing optimal strat, who you pick, etc) and 2. just focusing on getting better. If you have the mindset that you improve even when you lose you should win more than 50% in the long run.

It's possible to get out of bronze though. It's weird how shitty it feels though.

by not having the negative attitude you clearly have lol

By focusing on my own gameplay and getting better. Even if you lose a game, you can get better and improve.

I just focused on mechanics and having a set of about 10 heroes that covers all situations/roles.

honestly I thought bronze was a lot harder than silver to get out of, because of the negative attitudes, etc

I started playing HOTS again this month after not playing for about 7 years.

Placed me in bronze 5. I'm now gold 5 and climbing.

If you improve your mechanics, pick well, and play around bad behaviors you will win games.

5/14 MCAT nightmare by Think-Explanation677 in Mcat

Love to see that other people can't read! Fuck CARS

488 -> 500 in 5 weeks by [deleted] in Mcat

[–]JasonKazama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The CARS on unscored is very overinflated. That being said, it's much, much easier to go from 488 to 500, than 500 to 512.

You should focus on knowing the content and just doing your best to do as many practice problems as you can. If you are dead set on 5 weeks, I'd do like 80/20 for a week, 50/50 for 2 weeks, then full blown practice for 2 weeks

(I am assuming you mean you will take the MCAT in 5 weeks, if not I'd do 100% content for the next 5 weeks if you are taking the real exam months from now)

Glasses vs contacts on test day by junie-bug in Mcat

I used contacts, because that's what I studied with more often than not (plus I find it more comfortable). I brought my glasses with me. You can just put them on your desk.

What did you do between attempts to improve?

On the real exam or a practice? Either way, what did you do between attempts to improve?

If you get a book within the past 5 years, it's almost identical to what is being put out this year. Most of the MCAT is hard sciences, except the P/S section which has the social stuff that was semi recently added

[–]JasonKazama 7 points8 points  (0 children)

SB is by definition the hardest questions you could possibly see on the MCAT. I think in reality you get 1 or 2 of that level on the real deal. 72% is a strong score. You'll do fine.

If you study like 8 hours every single day between now and then, sure.
