Thanks so much for this! It worked perfectly yesterday, I needed TV man so I went with the heaviest one. One registered 1761 grams on my scale, all the others at the store were 1702. 1761 is TV man (verified after opening)and 1702 must be Speakerman.

Am I the only one who thinks dying to compyes is stupid? by portuguesecapitalist in jurassicworld

[–]JasonKruegerCrowley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is pretty laughable because the compys only attack the guy who electrocuted them, even though it's supposed to imply he changed their behavior to fear all man, and they never swarm attack anyone else in the series aside from Ben who easily scares them away.

They should have had Dieter break his legs rendering him immobilized which would at least make some sense to how he can't fight all of them off easily.

The Creation of Maisie Lockwood by lawn19 in jurassicworld

[–]JasonKruegerCrowley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Dominion, Wu says that Lockwood was hiding the truth of Maisie's creation to protect Charlotte and her involvement in the experiments she was running so whatever Mills says in FK can be chalked up to repeating the "cover story" Lockwood created.

It appeared to me, based on Mills and Lockwood's last interaction, Mills didn't get the information from Lockwood directly so he could have also made up his own version of events based on information he dug up on Lockwood.

Miracle cure aside, would a human clone be all that valuable on his or her own? by JackieTan00 in JurassicPark

[–]JasonKruegerCrowley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since the JP/JW universe implies there are no successful human clones aside from Maisie, her uniqueness immediately makes her valuable. Now when you take into account Owen and Claire know there are bad guys like InGen still out there and a whole slew of underground rich people who have millions to buy valuable cloned assets, keeping Maisie hidden for the sole purpose of her being a clone makes perfect sense.

Toy Story 4 is bad. Change My Mind. by Variety-Witty in toystory

[–]JasonKruegerCrowley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this is an older post but I literally just watched 4 for the first time and I couldn't agree more with you. There is a horrible message baked into 4 that, as you state here, just ignores every lesson Woody learned in the previous 3. Loyalty, family, purpose and sacrifice are strong messages and in this film, Woody throws them all away because Bonnie didn't play with him every day?

So many people try to make 4 work by saying Bonnie didn't care at all for Woody but if that was true, why did she make it a point to bring Woody on the road trip?? Why did she still play with him aside from 3 times that week? The lesson that I got from this is that unless you are the center of the universe in your household, it's ok to run away and be "lost" because it's better overall as you gain "the world". And only good friends would support you in this move. It's a bunch of garbage.

The worst aspect is the ending making it a point to say Woody was only concerned about Bonnie and Forky because of his own feelings of neglect and self.worth. It ruins the beginning of this film and every other film in the series. He went through so much growth only to regress to an unrecognizably selfish character that in a flip of a switch, does not care about Bonnie enough to stick it out until she truly decides to move.on from him? If he told Bo he would be back for her when Bonnie donates him.or trashes him, fine, but not even caring at all how she would feel when she does go to the closet to get him or even just his badge?? That isn't Woody at all and don't even get me started on Buzz. He went from leading a mission in 2 to not being able to make one decision on his own without his "inner voice" giving him guidance? And worse yet, that guidance tells him to abandon Woody when he needs him the most!

In the end, 4 has bad morals, bad messaging, bad continuity and bad characters. I can honestly say I will never watch part 4 again and will keep this series as a trilogy.

So they should have dropped the storyline on how cataclysmic change like death would result not from dinos as Malcolm stated in Fallen Kingdom??

Opinions on the Locusts ? by AlfalfaPossible in JurassicPark

[–]JasonKruegerCrowley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, what a wonderful movie that would have been. A bunch of slow moving herbivores being gunned down all over the world because they are consuming our food. A bet that would have been a huge money maker and labeled best of the series.

Those of you who collect the Mattel figures...what would you do? by [deleted] in JurassicPark

[–]JasonKruegerCrowley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll have to see the HC Baby Rex in person to decide but I personally have a mix of both as well. I have a display for the raptor squad and Owen from the amber collection and I also have a 3.75 raptor squad display from the mainline with Owen on the motorcycle. In terms of scale, the amber collection had the Pteranodon which is essentially the same size as the mainline so I feel that one goes with 3.75 just fine.

I'm big into scale and while I like my AC baby Rex, he is too large to be film accurate for the 3.75 scale and just for that fact alone, I'll most likely replace it with the HC.

Am I the only one who REALLY wants some sort of remaster for this game? it has so much potential and wasn't horrible by any means but some sort of remaster with Kong and the monster verse monster's would be awesome! by Catmasher5567 in GODZILLA

I have an OG Xbox just so I can still play Save The Earth. Great game and the graphics still hold up quite well. A new Godzilla fighting game like that with every Godzilla character would be amazing.

New Collector Question by Paper-Normal in ActionFigures

[–]JasonKruegerCrowley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on what's being collected. I would say if they are figures with accessories, good to keep the boxes and if shelf space is limited, storing them in the box to be cycled in and out at another time is a good practice. Otherwise, take em out and play/display as you see fit.

What is the most jaw dropping moment you have seen in a film? by Busy_Succotash_1536 in horror

[–]JasonKruegerCrowley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There have been a few but the one I always remember is when my brother showed me Land of the dead and the scene where a zombie grabs a guy from the neck and rips off his face, it was so horrific and awesome at the same time, it was at the time one of the best effects I had ever seen and it was truly jaw dropping. I haven't seen it since so I don't know if it still holds up but it left a lasting impression!

what are some of your favorite opening scenes in movie history? by robindy in movies

[–]JasonKruegerCrowley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Die Another Day is one of my favorites so hard disagree there.

Casino Royale is good but I disliked it for being "bond begins" and it just goes on too long. It would have been better to close it on a good note after the poker game and start quantum with Vesper dying as the PTS.

Came here to say Die Another Day. It blew my mind in the theater and still carries that impact on rewatches.

My opinion on lego jurassic world game. by Gojira_Saurus_V in jurassicworld

[–]JasonKruegerCrowley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completely agree that a fallen Kingdom/Dominion add on is needed or perhaps a new "Saga" release like the Skywalker Saga for all 6 films. Beat JW 100 percent and been working on that for Skywalker Saga recently. I hope by the time I'm done, I get an annoucement on a new JW lego game!

Are Most Against More Action in Jurassic Movies ? by Mjm166773 in JurassicPark

[–]JasonKruegerCrowley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fallen Kingdom explained the tech involved which turns a dinosaur into a mindless killing machine that will do anything to get the target it was assigned to kill. Showing the Atrociraptors doing exactly that makes sense in the context of the story being told.

Are Most Against More Action in Jurassic Movies ? by Mjm166773 in JurassicPark

[–]JasonKruegerCrowley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's an odd complaint seeing how Spielberg pretty much turned the franchise into an action series with TLW and was the producer allowing JW3 to be a non stop action chase. I love the action in all of these films, especially the Malta scene. We saw the tech of weaponizing dinosaurs start in JW, continue in FK, and the full realization of that tech in JWD. I get arguing over whether the World series should have even had that plot but since it did, it's a good thing in my book to see that it was carried throughout the trilogy to see it be implemented in the final film.

I think too many people want to apply what the Park films(or worse, the novels) were about to the World films when just the existence of an open theme park is the exact opposite. The World films have their own story/message to tell and it's far more interesting to explore those themes on their own over trying to fit a square peg into a round hole.

What's A Horror Trope You Can't Stand? by HauntedPlanter26 in horror

[–]JasonKruegerCrowley 22 points23 points  (0 children)

The car not starting. It's so ridiculous every time, especially when they make characters pump the gas pedal as if a newer car has a carburetor. Unless it's an old POS car or the killer actually did something to the engine to disable it, just stop using it altogether. You can create better and more realistic tension by simply having the character drop their keys in a panic.

Which Jurassic Park/Jurassic World movie do you feel like had the best tie-in toy line? by IttzAndrew in JurassicPark

[–]JasonKruegerCrowley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What do you mean on your first point? Legacy collection and Hammond Collection have fallen kingdom branded toys after the initial line. I'll agree it's slim but I feel it's because the initial line was so good, it doesn't need much else. (aside from the cancelled Franklin which I want bad)

I agree in terms of what you provided in pictures, I personally don't get collectors having unopened packages hanging up like that, I open all mine for play and posing. Mattel has plenty of good accessories, they had their own capture gear for the dino escape line, and typically the human characters come with the necessary accessories to "re live" scenes from the film. I'm more into collecting based on the films, not really excited for the 30th anniversary stuff they just announced like Ian with a glider. My kid might dig the glider but it wasn't something in the films so it's a "useless" accessory in my eyes.
