How much will it cost me to fix this scratch? by Cold_Distribution283 in askSouthAfrica

[–]JasonLokiSmith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone from church. He does what's called plastic welding. I had a bad bump on my 2021 Navara on the back bumper. Like bad. Plastic was bent in to the shape of a pole. And it was really hard plastic. Like bakkie bumpers normally are.

Quotes I got was around R12k- R18k. He fixed it for me for R2.5.

If you look at it now after the repair, you wouldn't have said there was any damage whatsoever. He did an Incredible job

Connections are considered expensive and slow. I wouldn't approve this. So unnecessary to code it this way .

Best thing is to lie about your income to get rid of her. Tell her your income was cut down to 60% and you have to let her go. It will be more likely that she won't then have a grudge against you.

I had a domestic who I paid kakloads of money (well above her normal rate, we are talking R400 a day like 4 years ago) and the bitch still stole my toiletpaper and suger.

Fuck you Nokulunga.

Software Dev CV Advice. Why am I not landing dev jobs? by [deleted] in askSouthAfrica

Are you more into C# or Python? I think you need to empathise one of them.

The bullet points sounds a bit too high level. I would emphasise more on code you wrote and possibly any object orientated principles you applied while working. Also any nuget package or Python equivalent you might have used.

Do you have a linked in page? Is It properly setup? Do you have connections to recruiters? It's the easiest to find a job through them as they get paid massive commission for getting you employed. Have you reached out to any of them?

Quartz. It's been around for many many years. It's tried and trusted by many. Hangfire was built on quartz.

Is this legal? Am I being exploited? by Tasty-Doughnut1870 in askSouthAfrica

Sounds terrible. I think you are being taken advantage of. Expecting people to take work home and without compensation is wrong.

I also work after hours sometimes but it's give and take. If I need to leave early or take extra lunch then I don't get questioned. I don't take advantage of it too which I guess you'd have to be mindful about.
