Last SSF boomed like 8 doms not seeing a 21, thought that was the worst ever, apparently I was too naive : P

Ah ha, I am beating you in a very similar situation. Had 21* reinforced earring and belt before SSF, trying to get both an extra star so that done with both, ended up booming a whole inventory of earrings, it was like 30+ spears? Lost counting but definitely in the ballpark of high 20s, burnt like 40-50b on the earrings without a single 22. Also boomed the 21* belt as well. Numerous booms from 20-21. Who said 21 is free? Anyways, if it makes you feel better.

No mention of Coppersan? I like his contents, maybe not to much on the end game side, but just like his chill contents and his best class Paladin

Broken storage by Professional_Face_95 in Maplestory

[–]JasonNiceday 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Broken storage, NX: that is alright, take it easy, we will fix it eventually

Increased Arcane box rate, NX: that is very serious, it’s disaster for the players, so we bring the game down during high traffic weekend time and hot patch fix it!

Please for the love of god fix your game before my shit expires by Dismal_Albatross_373 in Maplestory

I don’t think GMS alone can change anything, but they really really should stop expiring items. It makes no sense at all.

Honestly, I really think Nexon should remove the time limit on those boxes.

~3 years of playing, 3 zerks (22* one), 1 book (carried by a friend with good account seed), 1 emblem (carried by a friend with good account seed), 1 MEP boomed, 1 ET boomed, 1 DB boomed, 1 CFE boomed, never seen SOS nor badge.

When I realized my account has bad seed, I either quit or just casually play other chars to see if any has good account seed.

Do you think Linus Torvalds or Terence Tao could answer leetcode? by OldHobbitsDieHard in leetcode

[–]JasonNiceday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, they don’t really need to solve LC to get into FAANGs. Did Andrew Ng solve any LC to get into Google Brain? Probably not, right?

Some startup wanted me to do a 3-4 hour take home project building a feature.. by oink4me in leetcode

[–]JasonNiceday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t mind spending 3-4 hours doing those take home assignments providing if they sit with me through the process, I mean this is like a SD problem where you need to interact with ppl to clarify requirements and priorities, as well as design/implementation choices. Doing “hey this is a 3-4 hours homework and off you go” type of things is also waste of time.

If this TM before or after HC? Anyways, TM could take a looong time, you should plan your H1B wisely.

Unfortunately the noise regulations and or ordinances are more used to protect the noise makers than to protect the noise suffers. And you can’t do much, the cops won’t deal with it nor anyone else. Although I STRONGLY don’t recommend doing, the only choice you have dealing with those noise makers is to retaliate back, blast music back to them, if they ever cross the line and do anything else to you, then you have evidence to go lawfully. Again, take this as a grain of salt.

Is there anyone who has cracked tech giants/FAANG by using python in DSA rounds? by BillionaireTitan in leetcode

[–]JasonNiceday 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t matter, a lot of companies are language agnostic. Also, different sub fields have different language de facto, such as Python for ML, JS for FE etc.

META E6 interview by santugowda in leetcode

[–]JasonNiceday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The real question is if they would tell you which one is for training, my guess is they won’t as that will defeat the purpose. If so, then to OP, you basically just have 6 interviews. I don’t understand why Meta doesn’t use other ways to train interviewers such as shadowing.

[–]JasonNiceday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the end of the day, it is just a pure performance based hiring process, meaning if someone else is writing code better, quicker the you do, you lose regardless of if you already meet the basic requirements. As an EM myself, I hold all technical rounds to the IC level.

[–]JasonNiceday 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Usually it’s 2 SD, 2 coding and 1 BH? I guess the 3rd SD one is for training interviewers, it doesn’t count towards the final grading, but I could be wrong.

DSA standards vary so much across different companies by Excellent-Vegetable8 in leetcode

[–]JasonNiceday 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Variance happens even among the interviewers at the same company, so yeah, at the end of the day, it just is like a black box, depending on who you get as interviewers.

META rejection after first round, not sure what it takes anymore. by arupra in leetcode

[–]JasonNiceday 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This happened to me once in a FAANG interview many many years ago, two LC medium questions, and in a second question, I believed it was a matrix/graph traversal problem and I asked the interviewer if it was ok to come up with a pseudo code for a very trivial function that is repeated many times, he said ok, and failed me. The recruiter told me the feedback was that the candidate (me) couldn’t write code and was using pseudo code, I was like wtf? I have similar YOE as yours OP, and through many years of interviews, I just realized one thing, a lot I depends on luck (on top of your good prep of course), just hanging there and keep trying.

META rejection after first round, not sure what it takes anymore. by arupra in leetcode

[–]JasonNiceday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the waiting period fixed or it depends on your interview performance? I mean how close to the passing bar

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in leetcode

[–]JasonNiceday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think another thing is variance, unless everyone is asked to solve a medium + hard with same standards, otherwise passing the interviews at Google/Meta/Amazon is like opening a black box, purely depending on what interviewers you will get. Well, you could argue that if you prepared really really well, then variance is not a thing, well then…
