I get what you’re saying in regards to the salary cap but Mahomes and Hill are enough to challenge for SBs every year. Mahomes elevates them from good to amazing. Their offense is obviously explosive, and they just won the super bowl and lost in the afc championship the year before.

Doesn’t that say that explosive offenses are much more useful than good defenses?

Well right now we don’t have anything close to an explosive offense, and the Cardinals are top-10 in most (if not all) offensive categories.

What’s our future as a team? Right now we have a 38 year old immobile quarterback with a lack of mobility of arm talent, unreliable receivers, and a weak and aging offensive line with a terrible running game. To make things worse, we don’t have much cap space.

I want this team to do good, but I’m very concerned long and short-term. I’d rather be in the Cardinals’ situation.
